Jigsaw puzzle glue for cracked pieces: Hasi Puzzle Liquid

Reframing my old jigsaw puzzles

250909. Lately, I’d been getting a little interested in product trial groups and sponsorships, casually looking into them, when puzzle glue—something I genuinely needed—came up as a trial product. So I applied and received it right away. (Ahh, speedy delivery~ It arrived at a time I totally didn’t expect.)

One of my hobbies is jigsaw puzzles. Back when I lived on my own, I completed two 1,000-piece Alice jigsaw puzzles and kept them framed. But time passed, and my apartment was on the top floor and got so hot that the puzzles started swelling, breaking apart, and slipping down.

Buying just the liquid felt like a hassle, and I had no idea how much I needed or what to buy, so I’d left them alone. But Hasi Jigsaw Puzzle Liquid comes in a generous 247ml bottle, said to cover up to 5,000 pieces, so it looked like I could repair several puzzles. What I especially liked was that it also includes a silicone brush.

The Hasi puzzle glue box that I took out of the delivery box and put on the coffee table—I kept walking past it and doing a double take because I thought it was almond Pepero. (My air conditioner was broken, so I kept being away from home and couldn’t write this review quickly.)

What is included and what I checked first

Reading the back of the box carefully, it is introduced as a safe jigsaw puzzle glue made with high-quality, non-toxic ingredients.

It is a water-based PVA glue that has passed strict standards, so a safety-certification mark is attached to the side of the package. Still, it is not for eating, so the precautions say things like “Do not eat” and “Do not put it in a spray bottle or spray it.” (Let’s use it safely and as directed~!)

When you open it, you get a well-stocked set: a 247ml bottle of puzzle liquid and a brush.

The bottle itself also has information such as directions and the safety-certification mark. The silicone brush is really soft and squishy.

Repairing the serious cracks in the first puzzle

The first puzzle was in serious shape. It had even come apart and fallen to the bottom of the frame.

Taking it out of the frame made it crumble even more. Okay~ time to begin surgery~

I squeezed hard and hard, but nothing came out, so I wondered what was going on and opened the cap—there was a seal. (I almost burst it open with brute force!!)

Remove the seal~

Squeeze it out generously~ no holding back!! Get the corners too~

Sweep it over with the silicone brush~ It really is as easy as they say anyone can do. The liquid that came with a puzzle I bought before had to be squeezed out and rubbed on with a gloved hand, but brushing this on was convenient.

The puzzle cracks have settled down with a polished-looking finish.

Ta-da! You can see that the colors look clearer too. (Left = before applying the liquid, right = after applying it.) ※ I swear on myself, there was absolutely no editing~!

I put the cap back on for a moment and waited for the liquid on the first puzzle to dry.

Applying it evenly to the second puzzle

After a while, I put the first puzzle, now nicely dry, back in its frame. This time I was going to repair the second one. The second puzzle was in much better condition: no pieces had fallen off, and it only had a few cracks.

Again, squeeze out the Hasi Puzzle Liquid generously~ no holding back~

After applying it evenly around the edges too, I worked it over diligently with the silicone brush. (Thoroughly, without leaving any gaps!)

The section that had cracks earlier now has a polished-looking finish.

As I swept it over with the brush, it seemed like the puzzle cracks were getting neatly sorted out too.

The second puzzle also became much clearer with Hasi Puzzle Liquid, and its colors came back to life. Repairing these memories made me want to buy and put together another 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. They also have adhesive liquid for diamond painting, but I haven’t tried diamond painting yet~ If a design I like comes out later, I should give it a try~~
