Seongseo, Daegu Italian restaurant: pasta and steak for two, Pastoboy

Today I visited [Pastoboy Seongseo Gyedae-dongmun]. If you're looking for a place near Seongseo Gyedae for a date, or a meal with family or friends, I think this is worth checking out :)

Where is Pastoboy Seongseo Gyedae-dongmun, and where do you park?

Pastoboy Seongseo Gyedae-dongmun is at 29 Seodang-ro 9-gil, 1F, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, South Korea. By subway, it's about 656m from Keimyung University Station Exit 7, roughly a 5–10 minute walk. By bus, get off at the Keimyung Univ. Dongmun/Gyedae Station stop and head toward the Seongseo Gyedae eatery alley — it's easy to find from there.

There's parking available along the wall in front of the restaurant, but the space is pretty limited. If there's no spot, I'd recommend parking at a nearby lot and walking over :)

It's a casual Italian restaurant where you can enjoy everything from pasta to pilaf to steak at reasonable prices. Located near Keimyung University's Seongseo campus, it's popular not just with students but also for couple dates, gatherings with friends, and family meals out.

Inside Pastoboy: atmosphere and seating

The Pastoboy Seongseo Gyedae-dongmun space has a clean, warm atmosphere that made it comfortable to eat in. There were plenty of tables, so it worked well whether we came as a pair looking to relax or with a bigger group.

Pastoboy offers a wide range of pastas along with pilaf, risotto, and steak dishes. Signature items include chuck flap toowoomba pasta, bacon carbonara, pork neck steak salad, and beef short rib pilaf, plus plenty of cream and rosé pasta options depending on your taste.

They also have giant ades, and there were so many flavors that it was actually hard to choose! After a lot of deliberation, I went with the green grape ade :)

How spicy is the shrimp toowoomba pasta?

That day I ordered one chuck flap steak salad and one shrimp toowoomba pasta.

First up, the shrimp toowoomba pasta.

You can adjust the spice level on the pasta. I went with the default, and it was already pretty spicy! It might be a bit much for kids, so I'd recommend a different pasta for them. On the other hand, if you like spicy food, cranking it up even more would probably taste great :)

Chuck flap steak salad plus pasta: the best combo for two

And the chuck flap steak salad we ordered alongside! Getting pasta and steak together made for a pretty hearty meal.

The steak was sliced into good bite-sized pieces that worked well with the pasta, and sharing two dishes let us try more variety than ordering just one item would have. If you're visiting as a pair, I'd definitely recommend the combo of one pasta and one steak dish to share :)
