While traveling around Gangneung, I wanted to eat burgers with my baby right in front of the sea, so we headed to Burger Bar! haha

Where is Burger Bar in Gangneung?

Burger Bar is a handmade burger restaurant located at 609 Haean-ro, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do, right in front of Sageunjin Beach. There's parking in front of the restaurant and outdoor seating too.

The sea-view terrace at Burger Bar: how is it with a baby?

The weather was so nice that day, so instead of sitting inside, we chose the outdoor seats and enjoyed a leisurely meal looking out at the sea!

Since we were visiting with our baby, the outdoor terrace was even better for us — the space was clean and the breeze was cool, so it was really nice to spend time there with a baby 🤍🥹

There's even a photo zone here!! haha See the terrace behind it? The weather was so good I really wanted to sit on the terrace!

Inside Burger Bar: open kitchen and self bar

The interior overall was clean and fairly spacious, so we could eat comfortably without feeling cramped!!

It's an open kitchen, so it's fun to watch without feeling boxed in!! haha At the self bar you grab your own forks, knives, wet wipes, water, and so on!!

Wait a second‼️‼️ Do you see the shrimp chips? These come complimentary — you just help yourself from the self bar! haha

But... these were so good I refilled them three times!! Getting us this excited before the burgers even arrive is not fair,,,👍🏻😝😝 there are real bits of shrimp in every chip!!

How were the lobster burger, fries and Chodang corn ribs?

What we ordered was the lobster burger, fries, and corn ribs (Chodang sweet corn)!!👀

We started with the lobster burger we'd been most looking forward to, and the lobster between the buns was so moist and tender it was delicious from the first bite ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

They also serve sauce in the lobster shell, and the staff told us to pour the sauce from the shell over the burger to eat it~!

It gave a completely different flavor from eating it plain, so it was fun to try haha

The fries were crispy outside and soft inside, the perfect side for the burger 🤍🤍 We kept reaching for one after another before we knew it,,,haha

I was curious about the corn ribs (Chodang sweet corn) too, so we ordered that! It went surprisingly well with the burger~~~

Being Chodang sweet corn, it had a chewy texture and a sweet taste, so the combination with the savory burger was great!!! The portion wasn't too much as a side either, so it was good for two people to share ✔️

Sageunjin Beach views and warming up baby food

What I remember most about this place, above all, was the sea view ㅜㅜ Eating a burger on a terrace right by the sea somehow made even a familiar dish feel more special! Sitting at the table, Sageunjin Beach was right there in front of us 🌊🌊 the sea looked so refreshing that I kept taking photos haha

With the autumn weather and just the right amount of warm sunlight that day, it was such a nice spot to take a break during our trip 💕

And there was something we were really grateful for while visiting with our baby,,,! We asked them to warm up our baby's food, and they happily helped, so our baby could eat comfortably too 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks to that, we could eat with peace of mind too ㅠㅠ When dining out with a baby, the space and atmosphere matter, but these small kindnesses really end up meaning a lot…

Burger Bar in Gangneung: the verdict

A satisfying spot with a clean interior, a gorgeous sea view, and a moist lobster burger. If you're looking for a different kind of meal in Gangneung, it's worth a visit!! If you especially want to enjoy a handmade burger right by the sea, the atmosphere alone will stay with you~~😇

Burger Bar in Gangneung was a place we could enjoy comfortably even with our baby along, just like we did — next time we're in Gangneung on a nice day, we're definitely coming back!!
