My boyfriend and I really love handmade burgers, so whenever we travel we always make a point to visit a good burger spot. This time, while looking for burger places in Gangneung, I found [Fisherman Works] and we went for lunch on our second day. Here's my review — the buns and patties were seriously delicious :)

The exterior of this Gangneung handmade burger place is near Seobu Market, right across from "Cinemi Platform," so it wasn't hard to find at all! There's a clean, big sign with burger photos posted right by the door~!
Inside Fisherman Works: room for solo diners and groups
Inside, Fisherman Works has a variety of wood-toned seating, so it works well whether you're dining alone or with a group. Pretty stylish and cool interior, right?
Beyond that, the little decor pieces are incredibly thoughtful and stylish, so it was great just to look around. They even curated the music playlist carefully, so every single song felt intentional :) It's a burger joint but it kind of felt like being at a café..?

True to a proper handmade burger place, they have all kinds of burgers, and I thought it was really unique that besides fries, they also offer mushroom fries.
There were instructions posted on how to use the store, which was nice to read while waiting, and there's a self-serve bar on one side where you can grab mustard, ketchup, and wet wipes.
What we ordered: the original cheese burger and bacon BBQ burger
We ordered the Original Cheese Burger (₩8,500), Bacon BBQ Burger (₩10,500), Fries (₩4,500), and two Coke Zeros (₩2,500 x2). My boyfriend and I had a market tour booked right after, so we kept it simple with one order of fries alongside the burgers. (But once we finished eating, we were super full, whoa.)
Since it was morning and we couldn't have beer, we toasted with coke instead, haha.
Part of the fun of a handmade burger is seeing the wrapping too! White background with blue lettering — doesn't it feel super refreshing? haha
How does the bacon BBQ burger taste?
This is the Bacon BBQ Burger my boyfriend ordered. Looks seriously substantial, right? The sauce held nothing back either, so it was genuinely delicious from start to finish. I took a bite and it had a really smoky flavor with the bacon as the kicker — a total winner of a burger. The bun especially was fantastic, which I loved :)
How does the original cheese burger taste?
The Original Cheese Burger was mine! The wagyu beef patty itself was so delicious, and the combination with the cheese was really great❤️ It had that rich, deep cheese burger vibe that I love exactly. It was truly delicious and hearty enough that I felt full afterward.
Is Fisherman Works worth a stop in Gangneung?
