Dog-friendly bakery café in Yangpyeong with gallery annex: Pistache

A little while ago I visited Pistache by Capore in Yangpyeong with my mom and my dog Guwol!

This place is so huge and the vibe is so pretty that when I first walked in I thought, "wait, is this really a café? Not an exhibition hall?" haha. On top of that it's a large dog-friendly bakery café, so it was perfect for a Yangpyeong drive with Guwol!

Parking and first impressions: a big lot and a wide-open yard

Pistache by Capore is in Gangha-myeon, Yangpyeong, so it's easy to reach by car, and the parking lot is spacious, so parking was a breeze. After parking, you walk straight ahead and

you come to a staircase leading up to the café — and the view the moment you climb the stairs is really something!

There's a wide-open space with a big yard, so I felt good even before stepping inside haha.

I figured I'd look around a bit later and went in to order first, and there were some friends waiting to greet us! haha

Two kittens and Mac, this place's mascot and star model! Mac is a standard poodle and he was genuinely so cool looking haha. Big build, big presence — you just look at him and think "this is the café's flagship dog" 🤣 (Guwol was totally intimidated 😂). And the two kittens napping beside him the whole day were unbelievably cute, TT.

Inside Pistache by Capore: a café that feels like an exhibition hall

The inside of Pistache by Capore was also really spacious, and the interior was clean and stylish, so it felt less like coming to eat bread and more like visiting an exhibition space.

And the part I was most looking forward to haha — the bakery corner! There were so many kinds of bread that just browsing was fun. If you love bread, you'd probably spend a long time deliberating here haha. We actually wanted to try everything, but we'd just eaten before coming, so we reined in our greed (?) and picked just a few, TT. What we ordered was

• Coffee
• Salt bread
• Raspberry grain baguette

That's what we ordered! It was nutty and delicious. My mom especially loved the bread, which made me happy too haha.

And there was something extra welcome for anyone visiting with a pet — dog snacks were available too! 🐶 Guwol got one and was completely satisfied haha. A café tour where even Guwol was happy — success!

Pistachio-themed menu, and the pistachio red bean bread that sold out

While browsing the bread, I spotted something called pistachio red bean porridge bread! Doesn't the name alone make you curious? haha. But sadly, on the day I visited, the pistachio red bean porridge bread was completely sold out... 🥲 It looked so delicious, I really want to try it next time haha. The name alone makes it impossible to imagine the taste, which makes me even more curious!

Pistachio-themed menu items are actually a signature feature of this place — they also sell a pistachio latte, pistachio cake, and pistachio gorgonzola pizza, along with various other pistachio items!!

On one side, they were also selling cute hats and socks. It's not just bread and coffee — there's stuff to look at, which I liked 👍

The gallery-style annex and Mac merchandise

And that wasn't the end. There's an annex upstairs too, so we went up to check it out... and wow haha, this place really made me think "wait, is this a café or an exhibition hall?" The space itself is huge and you can browse actual art pieces, so it was more fun to walk around and look than just sit and drink coffee. There's a lot to see in every corner, and the wide space makes it great for photos too. There was also Mac merchandise here — if you like Mac, it's so cute you'll probably want to buy something haha.

This place is actually part of Capore, a complex cultural space, so along with the café there's also this gallery-like space to enjoy — there was quite a lot to see beyond just the café!!!

Outdoor walking path and garden tables

After finishing our tour of the café, we stepped outside and walked around the area, and that was really nice too. The walking path is well laid out and there are tables and chairs set up here and there, so on a nice day it'd be great to spend time leisurely eating coffee and bread outdoors. Seeing all the greenery, getting some fresh air, and walking with Guwol 🐶 — this is basically healing itself, right? haha.

Is Pistache by Capore worth the drive to Yangpyeong?

This visit to Pistache by Capore in Yangpyeong with my mom and Guwol! Rather than just a café where you drink coffee and eat bread, it's
