In weather this cool, you have to run straight to Sangdong Station's outdoor patio pizza-and-beer spot!
Where is People & Peoples near Sangdong Station, and what are the hours?
People & Peoples is a cooking-and-drinks bar three minutes from Sangdong Station, on the 1st floor of the Gukcheon Building at 17-28 Giljuro 121beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si. It's open from 4 PM to 1 AM.

The moment the weather turns cooler, one thought hits: oh? this is it, isn't it? Perfect patio weather! To enjoy pizza and cold beer outdoors again after a while, I visited People & Peoples, a legendary pizza-and-beer spot near Sangdong Station!

Sangdong Station is known for its outdoor patio drinking street. People even come from far away just to enjoy the patio vibe. Among those spots, People & Peoples is especially famous for letting you enjoy pizza and beer properly outdoors.

Patio, group table, or indoor seat: which to pick at People & Peoples
People & Peoples has outdoor patio seating, group tables with a semi-patio feel, and indoor wood seating. If the full outdoor patio feels like a bit much, there are those semi-patio group tables too, haha.

The interior is just as breezy and great for drinking as the patio. You might come for the patio and end up wanting to eat inside instead.

Soft yet lively colors and bright lighting give it a proper pub atmosphere. Fun, hip, it's got it all.

The seats are done in wood, which feels lively but also cozy enough for chatting with friends — I'd recommend it as a great place to drink near Sangdong Station even without the patio.

Beyond the lighting, liquor-edition decor pieces scattered around bump the vibe up even more.

Blankets and double-sided air conditioning on the patio
As a patio hotspot should, the owner even thoughtfully keeps blankets ready. I guess this is the level you need to earn that reputation, haha.
Still, some people might still feel the heat. And you might think, wait, with the doors this wide open, won't it be hot? But here they run double-sided air conditioning (never seen that before, whoa) at full blast! So don't worry even if you still feel warm.

The basic side snack is ppeong튀gi (puffed rice crackers). Clearly popular — they're crispy, so turnover must be good.

As part of a review event, they offer soju, beer, or a soft drink, for reference.

I can't even remember the last time I sat on a patio like this. Did I drink on a patio last year? Whatever the case, there wasn't one this summer, so it's been over a year. I used to drink around Sangdong Station a lot back in the day, so coming back like this after so long feels nostalgic.

Ham cheese pastry pizza 24,000 won and 500cc draft beer 5,500 won
What I ordered was the ham cheese pizza (pastry crust). It costs ₩24,000. Draft beer is ₩5,500 for 500cc!

All the sauces and fillings at People & Peoples are made in-house, apparently, which made me even more excited for the pizza! The ham cheese pizza comes with a sauce on the side — the handmade salsa criolla. You absolutely have to eat this with it. (Seriously so good.)

Personally, alternating a bite of the sweet creamy sauce already on the pizza with a bite of the spicy, tangy salsa criolla was genuinely delicious.

With this ham cheese pizza from People & Peoples, I think this might be the first time I ate through five slices without getting sick of it — I'd even say one person could handle a whole pizza solo. (The patio vibe was a bonus, haha.)
What makes the ham and sausage topping different
Can you see the topping? What matters here is the ham and sausage topping. This isn't your typical store-bought ham and sausage.

The rich ham and sausage flavor, that meaty aroma-triggering, genuinely tasty ham, is amazing. After eating this, I went back to a pastry pizza I usually get elsewhere and completely forgot what pizza I'd even had before, haha.
The savory cheese with the sauce and this rich, sweet ham combination is insane. The topping is so good that even after one slice, two slices, I never got tired of it.

It's not like the two of us were short on food, but this was the first time I finished a pizza meant for two and then debated ordering another one. (All thanks to you, ham...!)

The generous vegetable topping also plays its part. Adding fresh vegetables helps cut through the richness nicely.

How the pastry crust tastes
Above all, the pastry crust is genuinely amazing. The texture is incredible. Adding that crispy texture to the pizza fully replaces the usual softness you'd expect from regular bread, so you don't miss it at all — if anything it feels lighter, and you keep reaching for more.

Can you see the layers of pastry stacked up? The moment you bite in — crunch — and since it's less filling than usual, you can really enjoy the pizza properly.
This handmade salsa criolla sauce — it's insane. Honestly, between the well-made toppings (ham, vegetables included), that sweet creamy sauce bite, and the crispy pastry, it all came together like a perfect trio, but this sauce deserves the biggest credit. That tangy flavor that blows away all the richness, lighter than chili, is seriously addictive.

What to order next time at People & Peoples
Even walking home after finishing everything, I kept thinking about this pizza. I told the owner I really enjoyed it, and they recommended the 'Ambrosia pastry pizza' for next time. From the description, it has crispy potato and thick shrimp, which sounds ridiculously good too, haha. I'll probably be back again soon for more delicious pizza at People & Peoples, Sangdong Station's go-to outdoor patio pizza-and-beer spot.
