Busan chicken pub open until 6am in Yeonsan-dong: Yetnal Tongdak
In short
Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch is a 16-year-old chicken pub in Yeonsan-dong, Yeonje, Busan, serving old-style whole fried chicken alongside dakdoritang (spicy chicken stew). On a Thursday at 6:30pm two diners shared the Aentang combo — one whole chicken stew plus half a fried chicken — for 32,000 won, adding rice and a drink, and found both the crispy chicken and the rich, spicy broth excellent. Open until 6am, Yetnal Tongdak & Tang is a solid pick for a night that runs from the first round to the third.

What kind of place is Yetnal Tongdak & Tang in Yeonsan-dong?
The name 'Yetnal Tongdak & Tang' literally means 'old-style fried chicken and stew,' and that's exactly what you get here — both together. This Yeonsan-dong favorite has been a proven local hit for 16 years, and even the exterior has that unmistakable old-neighborhood, been-here-forever vibe, right?

Nearly full at 6:30pm on a weekday
I went around 6:30pm on a Thursday and the place was almost completely full. That's basically a stamp of approval, right? Since they open at 5:30, you'll want to do an opening run or arrive by 6 if you want a seat right away.

The interior walls were covered in graffiti from students and customers, the kind you only see at truly old-school spots. It gave off such a warm, familiar feeling.

Yetnal Tongdak & Tang menu and what we ordered
Here's the menu lineup. As the name suggests, fried chicken and chicken stew are the stars. There are also sides like gizzards and fried snacks, so it's perfect for drinking.
[Our order] ✔️Aentang ₩32,000 — one whole chicken stew + half fried chicken ✔️Rice ₩1,000 ✔️Drink ₩2,000

They're running a receipt review event — leave a review and get fries, shrimp fries, or a drink free, so don't miss it 😉

For side dishes, we got a simple cabbage salad, shrimp chips, and pickled radish. That old-style cabbage salad is tangy and delicious.

Is the Aentang combo enough for two people?
Our order arrived — one whole chicken stew and half a fried chicken. The portions were huge. I honestly wondered whether the two of us could finish it all (spoiler: two food-fighter appetites managed it just fine haha, warning — you will get stuffed).

The best old-style whole fried chicken so far
Honestly, the old-style fried chicken here is insane 🫢 Legendary chicken. The batter is just the right thickness, the crunch is out of this world, and the seasoning is perfectly balanced. Of all the old-style fried chicken I've ever eaten, this is genuinely number one. If this place were near my house I'd order it every single day. And that seasoning sauce — it has that nostalgic, old-fashioned flavor you just don't find at chicken places anymore ㅠ So, so good!!!

I went with the seasoning sauce, my companion went with salt. Dipped in sauce, dipped in salt, or plain with nothing at all — it's delicious every way.
Chicken stew with glass noodles, rice cakes, and quail eggs
Next up, the chicken stew. There's an uncountable amount of chicken in it 👍

There's glass noodles, rice cakes, and quail eggs in there too, so you get plenty of variety and never get tired of it. You can even add instant noodles (ramyeon sari) on top. If you're a noodle lover, I'd definitely add them. And the broth is so hearty and spicy that I kept spooning it up. I mixed some into my rice and it was basically a rice thief 🤤 — this time I mixed it with plain rice, but next time I want to try fried rice with that broth!
Verdict after a second visit to Yetnal Tongdak & Tang
I loved it two years ago when I first came, and today it was even better. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, the seasoning on everything is spot-on, and honestly everything is just delicious!! The portions are so generous that the two of us couldn't order too many other things, but I think this place would be perfect for a bigger group ordering a variety of dishes to go with drinks. The alcohol would just go down smoothly haha. I hope word spreads more about 'Yetnal Tongdak & Tang' and they keep running this place for a long, long time. If you're in Yeonsan-dong, Busan looking for great fried chicken, a bar open late, or good chicken stew, you have to go here!!! Seriously highly recommend it.

Parking, hours, and why it works for a second or third round
Since it's open until 6am, this place is great not just for a first round but for round two or three too. There's a parking lot right next to the store, only ₩3,000 an hour, and the nearby public lot is also ₩3,000 an hour, so it's easy to just use the Ora parking lot right next door.

I heard they've opened a Seomyeon branch too! Please open one in Gwangalli next ㅜㅜ
