Fish and chips, pomodoro, egg tart at Working Holiday Minrak, Busan
In short
Working Holiday Minrak is an ocean-view brunch café on the 7th floor of Bada Maru in Suyeong, Busan, overlooking Gwangalli Beach. The visit included fish and chips, pomodoro pasta, egg tart and draft beer at a window seat facing Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge. A great pick for a Gwangalli date or a relaxed catch-up with friends who want both good food and a good view.

Whenever I visit Busan, Gwangalli is a place I always end up going to. This time I found a Gwangalli brunch café where you can properly look out at the sea while eating something delicious! Between the taste and the view, I'm definitely coming back here again!

The Gwangalli ocean view from the 7th floor
The view is INSANE!!! Gwangalli Beach spreads out right in front of you~~!
Once you get off on the 7th floor — ta-da~! You order at the entrance before going in, haha.

Swipe through the menu photos~~ We ordered fish and chips, pomodoro, and egg tart!

The interior view is really so pretty!!! The moment you walk in, the wide-open Gwangalli sea view really hits you. Even while eating, you could see the beach and the ocean the whole time, which made the atmosphere really nice.
Especially on a clear day, the color of the sea and the sky blend together so the view out the window feels like a painting. Eating a delicious brunch while looking at Gwangalli sea genuinely felt like being on a trip, and I thought this place would be great for a date or a get-together with friends.

Terrace photo zone with a view of Gwangan Bridge
There's also an outdoor terrace, and let me tell you — photos taken here come out amazing!! You can see Gwangan Bridge in full view, plus Gwangalli Beach too, haha. I think Busan's charm is being able to take in the ocean, nature, and the tall buildings of the city skyline all at once!
The interior design is also really beautifully done~~!! No regrets with this choice!

The food arrived~~!! haha, my boyfriend carried it over, haha.
Even from our seat you can see the ocean right away, haha. Ahh so healing, haha.
Ta-da~~~ fish and chips, pomodoro, and egg tart, haha.
Draft beer

The draft beer was genuinely delicious~~!!
Egg tart

It tasted exactly as good as it looked! Nicely browned on the outside, soft and moist inside — the kind of thing that would pair really well with coffee or a drink. Eating it after the fish and chips and pomodoro as a finish was just right.
Fish and chips

I tried the fish and chips first and it was really good. The crispy batter and the moist flesh inside worked well together, so I kept reaching for more. Paired with fries, it felt hearty enough to be satisfying as a brunch. Eating it while looking at the ocean made it feel even tastier somehow. A really good choice, haha.
Pomodoro

Personally, the dish I enjoyed the most was the pomodoro. I loved the tangy yet deep flavor unique to tomato sauce, and the noodles and sauce came together so well that it was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy. It'd also suit anyone looking for something light to eat at a brunch café.
Who is this Gwangalli brunch café good for?
I think the biggest draw is the Gwangalli ocean view. Good food matters, of course, but eating while looking at a beautiful view is its own kind of joy when you're traveling. Thanks to the amazing view of Gwangalli sea, I ended up taking photos not just of the food but of the scenery outside the window too.
If you're looking for a place with a good atmosphere in Gwangalli, this is one I'd recommend to anyone searching for a Gwangalli brunch café. It'd suit anyone planning a Gwangalli date, or friends who want to enjoy a relaxed brunch together. If you want to eat great food while looking at the ocean, this is a really good choice!
A day where I got to enjoy fish and chips, pomodoro, and egg tart, and fully take in the Gwangalli ocean view too. If I come back to Gwangalli again, this is a place I'd want to stop by again. If you want the taste, the atmosphere, and that gorgeous Gwangalli ocean view all in one, it's worth a visit. If you're looking for somewhere to eat brunch while watching the sea in Gwangalli, save this one and go check it out 😊
