For my son's birthday, I decided to fill the day with all his favorite things. 🎂 If you ask what our son loves most these days, it's lizards and jelly! Haha. If he gets to see a lizard AND get jelly, could there be a happier birthday for him? 😂 So as a birthday present, I took him to Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City to let him pick out his favorite snacks himself.

A pink exterior that stands out from afar

The moment you arrive, the shop grabs your attention right away. A pink exterior and a colorful "Rolly Polly" sign! It looks exactly like a place packed with jelly and candy, haha.

It's on the first floor so it wasn't hard to find, and from the entrance alone it's the kind of place a kid just can't walk past. 😂 My son was already excited before we even went in.
Colorful from the moment you step in, a kids' paradise

Once we opened the door, the inside was even more dazzling. A pink-on-pink interior with walls full of jellies and candies in every color!

Every clear case was packed with jellies of different shapes and colors, and I found myself checking out each one without meaning to. There were familiar flavors like watermelon, peach, and apple, plus plenty of shapes and colors I'd never seen before.

The variety is so huge that if you're looking for a jelly spot in Yeongjong, just browsing here is already fun. 🍬

The big cylindrical containers up along the wall, packed with colorful candies, were especially pretty. The whole shop is so colorful that it also made a great backdrop for photos with my son. 📸
Came for jelly, but today it's candy?!
Honestly, since my son loves jelly so much, I figured he'd pile his container full of it again today. But nope — today he was all about the candy. Haha. He walked back and forth in front of the shelves with his container, taking his time deciding.
"I want to get this one!" "This one too!"
Since it was his birthday, I didn't hold him back much today. 😂 He's always loved rainbow-like colorful things. 🌈 And sure enough, watching him pick, his taste was very clear.

He got star candy ⭐, small colorful chocolates, and rainbow-colored candies. Picking out exactly what he wanted to eat, piece by piece, felt like a game in itself for him. Seeing the bag filled with all those colors, his taste really showed through, haha.
It's not just jelly here

Looking around, there was quite a lot besides jelly and candy. There were lollipops, chocolate, marshmallows and more, and a fridge on one side was stocked with various drinks. There were also items that looked good for gifts, plus little things kids would like.

There was also a separate display of genuine SLKO slime, so kids who love slime could probably spend a good while browsing there too. 😊 According to the shop's signage, they also sell Sanghamokjang organic soft-serve ice cream, so if you like sweet desserts, keep that in mind too.
Why I'd recommend it for a visit with kids
The main reason I want to recommend Rolly Polly as a place to go with kids is that it doesn't end with simply buying jelly. Instead of buying one pre-packed bag, there's the fun of browsing through countless kinds and picking out exactly what you want to eat. For a kid, that seems like a pretty big deal. Wondering "what should I get?", picking it out yourself, filling the container, and walking out with the snacks you chose — the whole process. 😊
If you're in Yeongjong with a kid who loves jelly, it's worth stopping by. It also looked good for choosing gift snacks or thank-you treats, and with jelly, candy, chocolate and drinks all available, it was easy to pick things to match a kid's taste. Most of all, since it was my son's birthday, it's an extra memorable visit. 🎂

It didn't have to be an expensive gift — seeing him pick out what he loved, fill up the bag, and walk out excited made me happy too. Our son, who loves lizards and jelly more than anything in the world. 🦎🍭 He got to see a lizard, and pick out all the candy he wanted! That's a pretty happy birthday for him, right? Haha.
If you're looking for a sweet spot to visit with your kid in Yeongjong, or want to pick out a variety of imported jellies and candies yourself, I recommend Rolly Polly Yeongjong Sky City. 🌈💕
