Baby-friendly bakery café in Yeongjongdo, Incheon: 5PM sunset hour
In short
5PM sunset hour is a bakery café in a shopping complex in Yeongjong Haneul City, Incheon. Visiting with a baby around 2pm, the writer tried a vanilla latte, salt bread, ham cheese salt bread, and fig cream cheese financier, and none of it made it into a takeout box. The salt bread's crispy-outside, chewy-inside texture makes this the writer's go-to bakery recommendation in Yeongjong.

Where do you go for coffee in Yeongjong? Today I'm bringing you my favorite bakery spot in Yeongjong, 5PM sunset hour!
I usually order from 5PM sunset hour through Baemin or Coupang Eats, but today the weather was so nice I decided to visit in person for fresh, warm bread :) I parked in the lot behind the shopping complex.

Indoor seating since we had a baby with us
It's a cute little café but the seating is surprisingly well laid out. With weather this good, eating outside would've been nice too! But since we had a baby, we decided on the cooler indoor seats instead.

I'd always just done takeout or delivery, so I was genuinely excited placing an order in person. Seeing the case full of bread made me even happier.

Drinks menu — the signature is the kkokku latte
They have a wide range of drinks and coffee too! I was craving something sweet so I picked the vanilla latte, but my friend recommended their signature menu item, the kkokku latte, saying the cream is wonderfully chewy!
(There are a lot of reviews for it on delivery apps too, so I'm curious — next time I'll order the kkokku latte)

I always just stuck to the usual salt bread or egg tarts, so I hadn't realized there are so many set menus and sandwiches too. I love a bagel sandwich! I'll have to try other menu items next time. (Drinks also get a 10% discount for takeout)

Dubai chewy cookies and butter tteok
While ordering, I spotted the Dubai chewy cookies right next to the counter! They seemed to be all the rage a while back — now they almost feel like a nostalgic trend. For what it's worth, the Dubai chewy cookies here are genuinely delicious. I heard people used to line up before opening just for these!

After the Dubai chewy cookie craze, there was also butter tteok (rice cake), which they have here too. The butter tteok smells amazing!!

Bread galore even at 2pm, and salt bread that's crispy outside, chewy inside
I visited around 2pm and there were bagels, donuts, egg tarts, and lots of financiers — the case was packed with bread! They even had an unusual Dubai salt bread.
But my favorite bread here is the basic salt bread. Jayeondo salt bread is the famous one in Yeongjong, but this place's salt bread is quite different. Where Jayeondo's feels like it's drenched in butter, this one is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside!! (Personally, 5PM's salt bread is more my style)

What we ordered and how it tasted
- Vanilla latte
- Fig cream cheese financier
- Salt bread
- Ham cheese salt bread

The coffee here is great too, but this is a place where every single bread is a winner. We ordered three as if in a trance, telling ourselves 'we'll box up whatever's left!' — but nothing was left to box up. Once you taste it, you can't stop.

- ✔️ The ham cheese salt bread hit salty, sweet, and savory notes all at once — the best thing I ate today
- ✔️ The salt bread is delicious, no question
- ✔️ I ordered the fig cream cheese financier for its looks, but even though I don't usually go for financiers, this one had me thinking 'oh, if it tastes like this, maybe again next time?!'
We didn't order it today, but if you like egg tarts, get two or three — highly recommend!!
There are so many bakery cafés in Yeongjong, but if someone asked me to recommend a place with genuinely good bread, I'd confidently say 5PM sunset hour — a spot worth boxing up bread from if you're visiting Yeongjong :)
