Sausage platter and honey garlic shrimp pizza at Monthly Beer, Guro
In short
Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch is a beer bar with handmade snacks at the end of Kkalkkal Street, near Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station in Guro, Seoul. After a first round at an izakaya, the writer came here for round two and ordered a sausage platter, fries and honey garlic shrimp pizza with Hanmac draft beer and Budweiser, the beer of the month at 3,900 won. Monthly Beer is calm rather than rowdy, so it works well for a drink with coworkers or a partner.

A budget-friendly bar recommendation in Guro / A great beer spot in Guro: Monthly Beer
Visit date: August 16, 2026
This time I'm introducing a Guro beer spot that's the opposite of loud and chaotic — Monthly Beer, tucked into Kkalkkal Street (깔깔거리), where you can actually have a proper conversation over drinks with friends, coworkers, or a partner.
- Location: 7 Digital-ro 32na-gil, 1st floor, unit 101, Guro-gu, Seoul
- Hours: 14:00–02:00 (until 04:00 Fri, Sat)
Where is Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch, and what is the vibe?

This budget-friendly Guro bar sits right at the very end of Kkalkkal Street — come out Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station, enter the alley, and walk straight to the end.

Monthly Beer gives a ₩7,000 discount to guests who arrive before 7 PM. Guro office workers, you'd better sprint over right after work haha. On top of that, they offer a different imported beer every month at just ₩3,900 — a seriously great-value bar in Guro.

The interior itself is calm and modern, far from noisy. If you're a Guro office worker looking for somewhere to have a quiet beer and talk with coworkers after work, Monthly Beer is exactly right. The dimmed lighting and not-too-loud music match that mood perfectly.

And as you'd expect from a beer bar, they have a good variety of domestic and imported draft beers. Take one sip of anything and you'll immediately feel how well-maintained the lines are.
About 70 dishes on the menu, all cooked to order

Monthly Beer has about 70 great-value side dishes ranging from fried chicken, pizza, and pasta to bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and sherbet. And unlike many chains that just fry and stir pre-packaged ingredients shipped from headquarters, this place runs a made-from-scratch system where the head chef preps and cooks every ingredient by hand. So how does that turn out? Honestly, bar food quality across the board has gotten pretty high these days, but hand-cooked side dishes definitely have that extra something.

We'd already had a light first round at an izakaya and came here thinking of it as our second round, but damn it haha, there were just too many delicious things, so we ordered the honey garlic shrimp pizza, sausage platter, and fries. Our second round basically turned into a first round again. We also got the well-maintained Hanmac draft and this month's featured beer, Budweiser.
Beer of the month: Budweiser at 3,900 won and Hanmac draft

A sweet snack came out as the basic side dish for the beer... and since we also love pizza and soju, we ended up ordering Chum Churum too. Budweiser for ₩3,900!! Thirty years ago in Apgujeong or Gangnam Station, when people were putting on airs drinking imported bottled beer, it was already ₩4,000 lol. Though honestly people just posed with it for a bit before heading straight to a cheap pocha, haha.

Nayeong had the Budweiser, Bongbong had the Hanmac draft~~~ Bongbong suddenly told me to try a sip, asking 'why, is it different?' — and I drank it and yeah, it wasn't like the usual Hanmac. Guess draft beer really does need to be had at a bar that keeps its lines well maintained.

Sausage platter with fries — the soft-boiled egg is the kicker
First, the sausage platter and fries arrived. Just your standard beer food, right? But no — neither the sausage varieties nor the fries feel like they were thrown together carelessly. Both the sausages and potatoes come in generous, varied portions.
The sausage platter is no joke. Beer lovers seeing this would just keep chugging beer nonstop... but true drinkers wet their throat with one glass of draft and then move on to soju with this, haha.

Ah... the sausages and fries alone were already excellent value, but somehow one soft-boiled egg becomes the real kicker. Dip the sausage or fries deep into that yolk and it's an explosion of savory richness in your mouth.

Good-quality sausages like these aren't just for beer — that umami makes them great with soju too. I was a little sorry we only got here for round two.

With crispy-chewy cheese balls on top of it all, beer lovers absolutely need to order the sausage platter and fries.

With the fluffy potatoes generously seasoned, this platter is the ultimate in value for money. It works well whether you're drinking beer or soju.

If Nayeong is enjoying a glass of imported beer this much, that means the food is that good.

Honey garlic shrimp pizza: pastry dough piled with shrimp
Second up was the honey garlic shrimp pizza. Shrimp sits on top of a pastry dough with layered, crispy texture, and cheese piled on generously. It's the kind of pizza where you can taste it just by looking.

The cheese is piled on thicker than expected, so eating it together with the plump shrimp is pure heaven. The savory-salty pizza flavor and the springy shrimp texture together are just fantastic.

Nicely, they had Tabasco sauce available, so I could add some spice too. It would already be great with a regular dough, but the pastry dough made it even more delicious.
Final verdict: who is Monthly Beer in Guro good for?

Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch, a favorite bar in Guro, is:
- A great-value Guro beer spot selling a different imported beer each month for ₩3,900
- A comfortable Guro bar that's not loud or chaotic, great for actual conversation
