Today I went looking for a show that would be both fun and educational for my son Jun, and we ended up at Magician JT's Science Lab. This isn't just a slick sleight-of-hand show — it's a science magic show that turns scientific principles into astonishing tricks right before your eyes, so both my kid and I couldn't look away the entire time. Let me share the fun atmosphere on-site plus the remaining nationwide tour dates!
How to get to Pyeongsong Youth Culture Center in Seo-gu, Daejeon, and where to park
The show took place at the small theater of Pyeongsong Youth Culture Center, 201 Dunsan-daero, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Parking is free for 3 hours!
The parking lot was spacious too, which was great. Once you climb the stairs, Pyeongsong Youth Culture Center comes into view.
The path to the small theater is clearly signposted. Just follow it!

A stage like a space research lab, and the pre-show quiz
The stage was decked out beautifully like a giant space research lab. There was a space-themed screen along with giant models of the moon, Earth, and Mars, an astronaut character, and even a cute moon rabbit balloon.
Before the main show started, there was a quiz session on screen that everyone solved together.
Even before the show started, kids were shouting out quiz answers, which naturally got everyone immersed in the stage before things even began!
The levitation trick that puts an audience family on stage
When Magician JT appeared, the atmosphere got even more charged. After whipping out some astonishing magic tricks, out came Toto!
The kids absolutely loved it!
He carefully picked a child, a dad, and a mom from the audience and gave them a chance to join in the magic!
He performed an astonishing levitation trick with the child, and even watching it with our own eyes, it was hard to believe — the kids were completely stunned.

It was genuinely amazing watching him use liquid nitrogen at a staggering minus 196 degrees Celsius to instantly create fluffy clouds and fog!

The hydrogen peroxide decomposition experiment — making "elephant poop" — got the biggest reaction from the kids! 😄
The finale: giant Earth and Mars balls and a laser encore
Near the end of the show, everyone rolled the giant Earth- and Mars-shaped balls that had been on stage earlier overhead together with the audience, wrapping things up on a fun note.
Magician JT's Science Lab closed out with an encore laser performance.
Seeing Jun so happy, saying the science magic show was so fun and that he was glad we came, made for a really rewarding day. The one-hour show flew by incredibly fast. 😁
