A spontaneous Dongchon Resort brunch café visit with my mother

Not long ago, my mother and I suddenly felt like doing the same thing, so we made a spontaneous brunch trip while taking a look around Dongchon Resort for the first time in a while. After wondering where to go, we headed to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점), which looked like it had a spacious interior and a satisfying menu.

I could see the building with Hands Coffee's distinctive red-brick feel.

Parking can often be a concern around Dongchon Resort, but Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch had a really large parking area, which made it convenient to visit.

Spacious parking area for café guests

There was a barbecue restaurant on the first floor, and I could use the stairs or elevator to get to Hands Coffee.

Spacious seating spread across the second through fourth floors

Once inside, I found an open, spacious seating area extending from the second through fourth floors. The antique-style interior throughout created an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

The fourth floor was relatively quiet

The tables were well spaced apart and the areas were clearly divided by floor, so I thought it would suit any purpose, including family outings, dates, gatherings, and study sessions. We settled on the third floor, which had a lovely atmosphere, and the view through the floor-to-ceiling windows was truly wonderful. As a large café overlooking the Geumho River, I thought it was well located too.

How to order and the wide brunch selection

After choosing a seat first, I could go down to the second-floor counter to order. Kiosk ordering was also available.

There was an especially wide selection, from the Double Tray Hands Brunch Set and House Brunch Set to individual brunch dishes, bingsu, cakes, and Hands' signature waffle desserts.

We ordered the Hands House Brunch Set and added the Pagery Cream Pasta. The set included two long blacks, and we changed the beans to decaf.

When the pager went off, we picked up the food, and I loved the presentation right away. It was the kind of presentation I could not help photographing, and since I was so hungry, it made me want to eat immediately.

Appetizingly arranged brunch set

It was a special Hands Coffee brunch dish with fresh ingredients, house-baked ciabatta, and handmade Bürst sausage. The scrambled eggs and whole potato in the middle were delicious too.

The sausage in particular had a satisfying snap and was really nutty and delicious. The salad vegetables were also very fresh, so I could enjoy it as a clean, easy brunch.

Pagery Cream Pasta with ciabatta for dipping

If you like pasta, this menu was worth trying too. Rummo linguine made with durum wheat, Hands' special cream sauce, bacon, button mushrooms, and cheese came together in a smooth, rich flavor. The cream sauce was especially delicious, and I lost count of how many times I dipped the ciabatta from the House Brunch into it.

The decaf iced long black balanced the potentially rich cream pasta and salty sausage with a cool, clean finish. It paired well with the brunch dishes.

Thanks to the large parking area, open interior, and antique décor, I had an enjoyable, comfortable brunch while chatting with my mother. If you are looking for a tasty brunch café with a nice atmosphere near Dongchon Resort, I would recommend Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch.
