What kind of Danyang stay is Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse?
I was looking for a place to stay in Danyang and ended up visiting Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse (。•ω•。) I heard it was a guesthouse tucked in nature right in front of Soseonam Valley, so I booked it wanting some quiet rest.
It's located at 38-44 Daejam 2-gil, Danseong-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungbuk, near Soseonam Valley. Check-in is after 15:00, check-out before 11:00, and there's on-site parking with plenty of space so I never worried about that. You can book through Naver Reservations, and private barbecue is available for ₩20,000 (4 people or fewer) or ₩30,000 (5 people). In-room cooking is allowed, but there's no pickup service. It's a great location for reaching Soseonam Valley and the Soseonam trail.

Among Danyang stays, this one really stood out from the start since every single room is built with red clay bricks — the vibe was different right away.

They have whole-house units, duplex rooms, and group rooms too, so you can just book according to your headcount.
We stayed in the room called Seokmun, and since we'd just come from sightseeing at Dodam Sambong and Seongmun nearby, it was so funny that our room happened to be named Seokmun.

Another big plus — every room has a view of the green mountains.

There was even a banner nearby advertising paragliding tandem flights :) Ages 5 to 80 allowed... omg

Seokmun room price, capacity and the other room types
Our Seokmun room, on the first floor, is recommended for couples or small families, priced from ₩80,000 to ₩100,000. It fits 2 people standard, up to 4 max, and has 1 bedroom, 1 bed, and 1 bathroom.

If you're looking for a Danyang stay for a group, they also have separate whole-house and duplex rooms, so choose based on your group size. If you'll have more guests than booked, it's best to contact the guesthouse ahead of time.

What you don't need to pack: kitchen and bathroom supplies
The Seokmun room at Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse came with a TV, a bed, and even a microwave built in :) The kitchen tools were also thoroughly stocked — plates, knives, pots, scissors, ladles, spoons and chopsticks, even a rice cooker — so we didn't need to bring any of that ourselves.

Not having to pack all that stuff was so much more convenient than I expected (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و The bathroom had a hair dryer, shampoo, body wash and towels, so we could stay comfortably without much luggage. If you hate packing, you'll especially love this part (⸝⸝◜▿◝⸝⸝)

Soseonam Valley right out front: wading and quiet time
Soseonam Valley sits right in front of Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse, so just walking along it with the sound of water in the background was already healing (。•ω•。)

We waded and played for a bit, and there wasn't a single other person around, so it felt like we had the whole valley to ourselves (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و

The water was so clear, and the moment we dipped our feet in, a rush of coolness hit and all the heat disappeared. It was quiet and the air was clean, giving us a sense of ease you can't really feel in the city. The Soseonam trail is close by too, so it was great for a light walk to soak in nature.

Nearby Danyang attractions and the verdict
There are lots of attractions near Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse — the Danyang Eight Scenic Views, Dodam Sambong, the Janghoenaru cruise, Mancheonha Skywalk, Gosu Cave — so it was easy to plan a route around this Danyang stay :)
If you're looking for a place to stay in Danyang, I'd recommend Soseonam Hwangto Village Guesthouse! Every room is built of red clay brick, so the atmosphere is great, and having Soseonam Valley right out front makes it a really good spot to rest in nature. It suits family trips, couple trips, trips with parents, and even group gatherings or workshops. Parking is plenty too, so getting around by car was never a hassle.
For anyone looking for a quiet stay or a place near a valley, I confidently recommend this as a Danyang stay~ It also suits family valley trips with kids or trips with parents just as well, so I'd recommend it for all kinds of situations.
