Four-story Cheonan bakery café for apple cinnamon latte: Siyudang

In short

Siyudang is a four-story bakery and brunch café in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan, set right at the entrance to Taehaksan Recreation Forest. The order here was an apple cinnamon latte at 7,000 won, bulgogi pizza and a castella croissant, followed by photos with the kids at the windmill photo zone in the 4th-floor Baekilhong Garden. For green views, fresh bakery and a photo spot in one stop, Siyudang covers all three.

What kind of café is Siyudang in Cheonan?

I went out to Cheonan for a weekend outing after a long time away. The drive from Cheongju was full of green views the whole way, perfect for a scenic drive. While searching for a Cheonan café with a good photo zone, bakery, and brunch, I found this large Cheonan café and brunch spot, Siyudang.

After eating, the brunch was so good and the bread was better than expected! There's even a pretty photo zone on the rooftop, so I left completely satisfied — here's my review.

Where is Siyudang and where do you park?

Siyudang, this large Cheonan brunch spot, sits right at the entrance to Taehaksan Recreation Forest. That's why the view from the café is amazing too — keep that in mind. Siyudang has its own private parking lot right in front of the store.

There are tables at the entrance too, so it'd be great for outdoor brunch in this kind of weather.

What bakery items does Siyudang have?

Uniquely, they have mountain-shaped breads prepared by flavor and type. The colors were so varied it was fun just to look at them.

Garlic cream cheese salt bread, chocolate salt bread, pollack roe salt bread, mocha salt bread — several kinds of salt bread here too.

They even had Maldon salt, Ferrero Rocher, churros, almond, and fig cream cheese financiers, all looking crisp and delicious on the outside. I regret not trying the financier too — I just hadn't eaten a meal yet.

Egg tart with distinct layers still intact.

There were also three kinds of croissants, and the castella croissant looked so good I ordered one.

Along with the variety of breads, there was also a wide selection of slice cakes. Everything looked so good that whatever you pick, you'd expect it to taste great.

Siyudang brunch menu and the weekday sale

True to its reputation as a large Cheonan café and brunch spot, the brunch menu had lots of options, and we went with the bulgogi pizza. There's a sale from 10 AM to 2 PM on weekdays, so it's a good deal if you visit then.

Siyudang floor by floor and the Taehaksan view

The 4th floor is a rooftop garden called Baekilhong Garden. There's a self-service packing counter and a microwave up there.

This is the 2nd floor — it was crowded when we arrived, but by the time we left it had emptied out, so I got a shot of the interior then. The area around the café is all lush green, so it's great for a bit of healing.

This is the 3rd floor.

I went up to the 4th-floor garden to take photos of the kids. It's full of windmills and flowering trees, so the photos came out so pretty!

Sitting on the yellow chair for photos is so pretty! Great photo zone. The background off to the side is cute too +_+ Women get so into photos, so this is a spot you'll love. I took about a hundred shots before heading back down.

How the bulgogi pizza and apple cinnamon latte tasted

After coming down, our food and drinks arrived shortly after. The bulgogi pizza had an amazing smell of freshly baked, savory pizza.

The various drinks we ordered, plus the castella croissant.

Table spread of bulgogi pizza, drinks, and castella croissant

The pizza was piled generously with sweet-and-salty bulgogi on top of the dough, so the visual was impressive too. And pairing it with the refreshing strawberry ade and blueberry ade — need I say more.^^

The warm chocolate latte my kid ordered. The cup was big, which I liked right away haha, and you could taste the rich chocolate — they drank the whole thing saying it was delicious. Plus there was cute latte art on top!

My order, the signature apple cinnamon latte. I've barely seen this sold anywhere else, so I gave it a try — behind the fragrant, gentle cinnamon aroma, you could taste a subtle sweetness of apple spreading through. The finely chopped apple pieces you could actually chew on made it fun to drink, and I thought it was the perfect signature drink unique to Siyudang.

Cheese stretching from Siyudang's bulgogi pizza

The cheese on this Cheonan café brunch-menu pizza stretched perfectly. Even from the photo you can tell the toppings weren't skimped on. Everyone agreed — this place is a pizza spot, for sure! The sweet, salty bulgogi with warm, savory cheese packed into every bite was truly delicious. +_+ The crust itself stayed crisp at the edge with great depth of flavor, so I ended up eating all the way to the last bit of crust. I get why it's such a popular large Cheonan café now.

Is Siyudang worth a visit? Final thoughts

Siyudang isn't just about the view — the food, drinks, and bakery were all excellent too. If you're looking for a large Cheonan brunch café with open views, fresh air, a generous spread of food, and pretty photo spots all in one, I recommend Siyudang. Open 10:00–21:00.
