Gwanghwamun pizza pub with air-conditioned annex: Didi's Pizza Pub
In short
Didi's Pizza Pub Jongno Main Branch is a handmade-dough pizza pub on Sambong-ro in Jongno-gu, Seoul, a five-minute walk from both Jongak Station and Gwanghwamun Station. After starting at the main building's open-wall patio seats, the writer moved to the American-style annex for the air conditioning and ordered the handmade-dough Didi's Pizza (14,000 won), the Didi's Buldak Pizza (14,800 won) and a zero-sugar cola (2,500 won). Two pizzas left two slices over for two people, so one pizza plus a side is the right order if you are drinking.

Patio seats or the air-conditioned annex: where to sit
Didi's Pizza Pub has an annex right next to the main building. The main building has one wall that opens to the outside. If you want that patio feel on a cool evening, I'd recommend sitting there. It's fall breeze season now, so some people were happily eating outside.

We also started out in the outdoor-style seats in the main building, but I was wearing long sleeves and it still felt a bit warm, so we moved to the annex. The annex has an American-pub vibe and the AC was noticeably cooler.

What we ordered at Didi's Pizza Pub and what it cost
At Didi's Pizza Pub we ordered the signature handmade-dough Didi's Pizza (₩14,000), the handmade-dough Didi's Buldak Pizza (₩14,800), and a zero-sugar cola (₩2,500). There were plenty of other pizza and side options too, but we went with the signature picks.
I was so happy a whole pizza costs under ₩15,000. And the zero-sugar cola was only ₩2,500 too — surprising for a place that serves alcohol (non-drinkers, rejoice!). Between the taste and the reasonable prices, office workers kept trickling in, and by just past 7pm the place was pretty full.

They served jjanggu snack crackers and pickles as a default. We were chatting and snacking on the crackers when the first pizza arrived.

Handmade-dough Didi's Pizza, 14,000 won
I was surprised at how big the pizza was at first. I thought it'd be a personal-size pizza, but it wasn't much different from a regular-size pizza.

Can you tell how much cheese is piled on there? Pepperoni, onion and mushroom, topped with a generous heap of cheese, then drizzled with mayo and mustard sauce — it couldn't not taste good.

Handmade-dough Didi's Buldak Pizza, 14,800 won
About halfway through the Didi's Pizza, the second pizza — the buldak (spicy chicken) pizza — arrived. It's loaded with chicken marinated in buldak sauce, so it felt much thicker than the Didi's Pizza. The spicy kick of the buldak sauce balanced nicely with the cheese and mayo/mustard sauce, so this one was delicious too.

We ate really well~
How the pizzas tasted and how much to order for two
Taste verdict / ordering tips
Both the handmade-dough Didi's Pizza and the handmade-dough Didi's Buldak Pizza were really good, and because the dough is handmade, the crust stayed tasty all the way to the end. The original Didi's Pizza's pepperoni, mushroom and onion toppings paired well with the mountain of cheese, and with more cheese it had a richer flavor overall. If I had to pick just one, I'd personally go with the original Didi's Pizza, but the buldak pizza's sauce and chicken were also great, so if you like spicy food you won't regret it either!
As for portion size, since one pizza was ₩14,800 I assumed it'd be a single serving, but it was more like 1.3 servings. Two of us — one man, one woman — ordered two pizzas and were absolutely stuffed, yet still had two slices left over. We ate without alcohol, but if you're drinking beer, one pizza plus a side between two people should be just right.
If you're near Jongak/Gwanghwamun and looking for a real pizza spot that local office workers actually go to, give Didi's Pizza Pub a try!
