Overflow annex seating for a work dinner 2nd round: Didi's Pizza Pub
In short
Didi's Pizza Pub Jongno Main Branch is a pizza-and-beer pub in Jongno, Seoul, between Gwanghwamun and Jonggak stations. With the outdoor tables and main hall full for a family dinner's second round, the writer sat in the quieter annex over spicy chicken and Hawaiian half-and-half pizza, draft Asahi, and zero-sugar cola. Quieter than the bustling main hall, the annex turned out to be a solid pick for a family or group gathering.

That day we'd already had dinner with family and weren't quite ready to head home, so we debated where to go for round two and ended up at Didi's Pizza Pub near Jonggak. It's already well known among Gwanghwamun office workers — apparently it's great for a casual beer or for ordering a pizza to share while chatting, so people often pick it as their second-round spot after dinner. Sure enough, the place was packed when we arrived.

Outdoor tables and main hall full — what about the annex?
One of the charms of Didi's Pizza Pub is the outdoor seating (yajang). On a nice day it looked like a great spot to enjoy a beer outside. Sure enough, the outdoor tables were nearly full too, everyone unwinding after work. We tried heading into the main hall, but that was already almost completely full — there's a reason it's called a mecca for Gwanghwamun office workers' after-parties.

Luckily there were still seats in the annex, so we sat down right away. It actually turned out to be easier to talk there than in the noisy main hall. For a family gathering or a group visit, the annex seems like a pretty good choice.

Choosing the menu — half-and-half pizza available
There were so many pizza varieties that it was fun just to browse. Since half-and-half is an option, it's also a great spot to visit with people who have different tastes. There were so many good pizza-and-beer options that we had a hard time deciding.

- Spicy Chicken & Hawaiian half-and-half pizza
- Draft Asahi
- Zero-sugar cola
Since this was our second round, we went for something we could enjoy lightly. Thanks to the half-and-half option, we got to enjoy two flavors at once, which was satisfying.

Receipt verification event
A FROMFORET mascara? Black serum? Apparently they give you one if you show your receipt — felt kind of like a pop-up store, haha. So random! If you're into serums, it might be worth checking out.

Basic sides: pickles and Jjanggu snacks
The basic side dishes were pickles and Jjanggu corn snacks. Honestly, I hadn't seen Jjanggu in ages, lol — it's a snack I used to eat all the time as a kid, so seeing it again was oddly nostalgic. Perfect for snacking on while waiting for the pizza to arrive 🍕🍺

Draft Asahi and the pizza-and-beer combo
It would've been a shame to skip beer once the pizza arrived. A cold glass of draft Asahi alongside it completed the pizza-and-beer combo. That was the moment it clicked why everyone comes here for round two.

How the Spicy Chicken & Hawaiian half-and-half pizza tasted
We ordered the Spicy Chicken and Hawaiian half-and-half pizza. Getting to enjoy two flavors at once made it a great pick for anyone who likes that kind of combo. If you like Hawaiian pizza, this one will satisfy you for sure — the sweet pineapple was great to alternate with the spicy chicken side. The combination turned out better than I expected.

Personally, I reached for this one more often. It had a salty, slightly spicy kick that paired really well with beer. Being a thin-crust pizza also made it easy to eat without feeling heavy, which was a plus.

Since it was thin-crust, it felt light to eat, but the cheese still stretched satisfyingly, which made it taste even better. My parents in particular were happy with the generous amount of cheese, and switching between the spicy chicken and Hawaiian sides meant we never got tired of either 🍕✨

For anyone who doesn't drink, zero-sugar cola works just fine alongside it too. It cleaned up the pizza's saltiness nicely — a surprisingly good pairing.

A second-round spot for Gwanghwamun or Jonggak?
Didi's Pizza Pub isn't so much a flashy must-eat spot as a place you enjoy once for the atmosphere and again for the pizza-and-beer combo. With both outdoor seating and an annex, it's good for group visits, and its biggest strength is the relaxed vibe for a light drink after a dinner gathering. If you're looking for a second-round spot around Gwanghwamun or Jonggak, it's worth a visit.
