This time my mom and I, along with my daughter — three generations of women — went on a one-night, two-day walking trip to Jeonju. Getting around the hanok village on foot without a car, we ended up walking way more than expected.

It was fun, but by the afternoon my mom's legs were tired and we needed a place to rest for a bit too. So instead of a regular café, we went to Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang, a Jeonju Hanok Village café where you can take a bit of a special break.

What kind of place is Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang?
Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is a great place to rest during a trip to Jeonju Hanok Village. It's not just a café for drinks — you can also get an aroma foot bath and a shoulder massage, which was perfect for us since we were traveling on foot.

Especially when traveling with my mom, pretty spots matter, but it's really important to fit in comfortable rest stops along the way. In that sense, this was a Jeonju Hanok Village café I'd really recommend.

Aroma foot bath for 11,000 won: three scents to choose from
The aroma foot bath at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is ₩11,000, and you can choose your preferred scent from peppermint, lavender, or rosemary. Soaking my feet in warm water, I could feel all the fatigue from walking all day melting away.

With the faint aroma spreading around us, we could slow the pace of the trip for a moment. My mom was happy too, saying, "It's nice to have a stop like this in the middle of the trip," which made me feel extra proud haha.

Shoulder massage add-on for 4,000 won: shoulders, neck or lower back
If the foot bath alone feels like it's not quite enough, you can add a ₩4,000 shoulder massage. You can focus on the shoulder, neck, or lower back, whichever you prefer, so it was great for loosening up an achy upper body, not just on heavy-walking days but during the trip in general.

My mom loved doing the foot bath and shoulder massage together, saying it felt like she was properly resting, and my daughter found it a fun, different kind of café too.

Drink menu and the Hanok Village view from the window
Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang also has a good variety of drinks — americano, ramie leaf tea, persimmon leaf mint tea, burdock tea, peach and lemon iced tea, and more — so it was easy to find something to suit my taste.

Sipping a cold drink while soaking my feet in warm water felt totally different from resting at a regular café. Sitting there looking out the window at the hanok village atmosphere made this pause in the middle of the trip feel even more special.

Why Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang suits a car-free trip with mom and daughter
This Jeonju trip is especially memorable because it was a one-night, two-day trip across generations, mother and daughter together. Rather than an itinerary of nonstop sightseeing, having a moment like this to sit, talk, and rest made the whole trip feel so much more relaxed.

If you're doing a walking-heavy trip through Jeonju Hanok Village, I'd recommend fitting in a healing stop like this at least once.

If you're looking for a Jeonju Hanok Village café where you can enjoy a foot bath, massage, and drinks together instead of a regular drinks-only café, take a break at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang.

It's a good place to bring your mom, and it also works well as a family trip stop with kids or a unique date course with a partner — a Jeonju Hanok Village café I'd recommend :)
