Foot bath café last stop in Jeonju Hanok Village: Song Eun-i Zone

A lot of people head to a foot bath café when they visit Jeonju Hanok Village. I actually went to one for the first time on my recent Jeonju trip. This time I went to Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang. Soaking my feet and using the shoulder massager was a nice way to take a break in the middle of the trip. Let me write in detail about the vibe, how it works, prices, and drink options.

Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is located right inside the hanok village. There's no dedicated parking lot for the café. Most people probably drop by while exploring the hanok village, and that's what I did — I parked at Pungnam Elementary School and walked around the village from there. Parking is free there and it's an easy walk to the café.

Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang is on the 2nd floor, so you just head up the stairs.

The first thing I saw walking in was a foot bath machine set up at every seat. Since this was my first time at a foot bath café, it was fascinating to see foot bath machines right there in a café.

When the staff showed me to my seat, they told me this was the place featured on tvN's Six Sense. That's why every table had a name attached, like the Yoo Jae-suk Zone, Song Eun-i Zone, and Go Kyung-pyo Zone. I sat in the Song Eun-i Zone!

How the foot bath works and what it costs: 30 minutes, 15,000 won

Once you sit down, a staff member sets up a hand acupressure device and a shoulder massager and explains how to use everything. The session is 30 minutes and costs ₩15,000 including the shoulder massager. Paying in cash gets you ₩1,000 off, and payment is made after your session.

Choosing foot bath salts and a drink at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang

Next, you choose a foot bath salt to add to the machine and a drink. There were three foot bath salts — lavender, peppermint, and rose — each with slightly different properties, so I listened to the staff's explanation and picked peppermint. For drinks, there was Americano, mosi leaf tea, persimmon leaf mint tea, burdock tea, and iced tea in peach or lemon, each with a description so you can pick whatever you like. I went with the peach iced tea.

A foot soak as the last stop of a Jeonju Hanok Village day

I visited this place as the very last stop of my Jeonju Hanok Village trip. After walking around the village so much, my legs were swollen and a bit sore. But with the AC and fan running, sitting there with my feet in the foot bath machine turned out to be surprisingly healing. Soaking in warm water made my legs feel refreshingly loosened up.

While I was chatting and soaking my feet, my iced tea arrived pretty quickly. Drinking it felt cool and gave me a proper sugar boost. That said, having the shoulder massager on made it a little awkward to drink my drink. Still, since I came for the foot bath, it didn't really bother me.

Watching the streets of Jeonju Hanok Village through the window outside was also quietly fun. Between people-watching and chatting, the 30 minutes went by faster than I expected.

After the soak: towel and foot cream

Once the foot bath machine stops, you dry your feet with a towel that's provided, and there's foot cream ready to apply at the end too. Just soaking my feet and applying the cream at the end left my feet feeling soft.

Since this was my first time at a foot bath café at all, it was a fun, unique experience. You end up walking a lot more than expected when exploring Jeonju Hanok Village, so giving your feet a rest partway through the trip makes it so much better.
