Why Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch for a Chuseok family dinner?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a place I turned to as a Nowon sushi buffet, Nowon sushi platter buffet, and family gathering spot. This time I wanted LA galbi (LA-style marinated short ribs), and while searching I found Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch's new menu and booked a weekday dinner.

A while back, watching late-night home shopping, Chuseok was approaching so they were selling all these delicious holiday foods~ The one that really caught my eye was LA galbi, and when I mentioned it in passing to my mom, she started going back and forth about whether to make LA galbi for the holiday~

Since Mom was having cataract surgery around this holiday, we decided to skip the ancestral rites and just have a simple family meal instead — but then she suddenly said she'd cook anyway, so I told her that's exactly the kind of craving she can satisfy just by going out!! While searching where to eat LA galbi, I found the new menu just launched at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch and got so excited~~ ^^

Smoked duck, Norwegian fresh salmon sashimi, LA galbi, lamb chops — all menus I love were added as new items! Just a note, the new menus above are served on weekday dinner / weekends and holidays, so book to match weekday dinner time — go for it!! (Lamb chops are served all day)

Getting to Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch from Hagye Station, and where to park

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor at 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. The branch is named Nowon, but by subway it's actually closer to Hagye Station on Line 7.

Just a note, if there's space at the Seoul Oncheon building parking lot, you get 2 hours free parking, but if it's full you'll need to use paid parking.

How does the 300-pyeong floor seat families and big groups?

The interior of Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is natural wood and white tones, and at over 300 pyeong it works well for both group gatherings and families. Since there are more new menus now and they're tastier, I'd recommend booking ahead haha. If you reserve and visit, you get seated right away and walk into a wide-open space inside!

Just a note, they offer independent spaces for 50, 80, and up to 300 people that can be used like a private rental, so it's good for events ranging from small gatherings to large ones 👍 (Rooms for 40–60 people minimum / group seating for 14–200 people)

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch prices and how long you can stay

At Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, adults and middle/high schoolers pay 27,900 won for weekday lunch, 31,900 won for weekday dinner, and 35,900 won on weekends and holidays. Elementary schoolers pay 16,900 won / 17,900 won / 18,900 won, and preschoolers (36 months and up) pay 9,900 won.

• Elementary school: weekday lunch 16,900 won / weekday dinner 17,900 won / weekend & holiday 18,900 won
• Preschool children (36 months and older): 9,900 won

The sushi counter: upgraded flounder, salmon and botan shrimp

Since it's basically a sushi buffet, there are so many kinds of sushi and nigiri that just browsing through them all can fill you up lol

In particular, the flounder sushi and salmon sushi have been upgraded with bigger fish slices this time, so popping one in your mouth gives that full, satisfying feeling haha. On top of that, the shrimp sushi has been upgraded to use botan shrimp, which makes the shrimp flavor even better.

Weekday dinner's new dishes: LA galbi, salmon sashimi and smoked duck

🍣 Just because it's a sushi buffet, does that mean it's only sushi?! New menu additions at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch!! Smoked duck, fresh salmon sashimi, LA galbi (served weekday dinner / weekends and holidays)

In particular, the Norwegian fresh salmon sashimi isn't even on the menu at the Kuu Kuu Gold branch~ It's low-temperature aged, so you can enjoy the freshness, and the LA galbi, which has that chewy, tear-off-the-meat fun, was something I'd been craving for a while — I never got tired of it no matter how much I ate haha.

The smoked duck is never a fail no matter when you eat it, and while I normally like lamb chops too, since this is a Nowon sushi buffet I didn't expect much beyond sushi — but the lamb chops came out hot and freshly made, and they were soft and delicious ^^

On top of that, the lamb chops are served all day regardless of lunch or dinner, so I liked that you can enjoy them freely even at lunch haha. At a specialty lamb restaurant, just a few lamb chops usually cost more than one person's price here at Kuu Kuu lol

But don't get so caught up in the new menus that you miss out on the sushi — this is a Nowon sushi buffet 🍣 lol There's so much to enjoy beyond the sushi, nigiri, and new menus~ Whether the variety actually got bigger or not, tasting everything one by one fills you up in no time~

Dessert: dippin' dots-style ice cream is now served all day

Even after eating that much, I still saved room for dessert 🍨!! Because the dessert here is so varied too — cake 🍰, fruit 🍉🍈, waffles, scoop ice cream, marble ice cream, and more >.<

The marble ice cream, which was a shame to miss at lunch before!! 🍧🍨🍦 It's now served all day, not just dinner and weekends, so you can have it anytime at lunch or dinner — kids will probably love that even more haha.
