Atmosphere and seating
The restaurant has a nice vibe and is spacious, so it's good for group visits too. Most tables around us were families having dinner — this really is a Nowon eel spot for that.

Each table is clean and tidy, making it a good Nowon restaurant to bring your parents to.

What we ordered and the prices
You order directly from your table, and there's a brief guide on how it all works.
- Basic two-person set ₩69,000
- Eel soup ₩13,000
- Rice ₩1,000 × 2
- Cass beer ₩5,000
- Bokbunja ₩15,000

Side dishes and wraps with the set
The side dishes and wrap greens that come standard with the set. Most of them pair well with eel, so it's great to eat them together. All the sides were tasty, making this a good place for lunch or dinner. Eel with baek-kimchi (white kimchi) especially went together better than I expected,,!!!

And here's the essential eel combo: sauce and pickled ginger, set up individually for each person.

Charcoal-grilled eel, grilled right in front of us
After ordering, we waited a bit and then they brought in piping-hot charcoal and started grilling the eel right away!

Super fresh eel, and this much for two people at this price ➰ A good body-boosting meal, and a good-value way to eat at a Nowon eel restaurant. We ordered two portions but the size was still big — love that. There was a lot, but it was so good we ended up ordering one more portion 🤤

You could tell the eel was fresh even before it was grilled — that's Cheonsanga Jangeoga for you. A good Nowon restaurant to bring your parents to.

They grill everything for you, so you can just relax and wait. The inside of the restaurant was cool, so even with the hot charcoal brought in it never felt hot at all. Once everything is grilled, just ask and they'll take the charcoal away when you want ~!

Doenjang stew included in the set
The doenjang (soybean paste) stew that comes with the set was ladled out for us directly, and we got to enjoy it warm before the eel. It wasn't as salty as I expected, so it was good to eat on its own without rice too, but we ordered rice and had it together.

With an eel-grilling expert (?) staff member handling it, we could trust the process 🤍 They were so skilled at prepping and grilling that there wasn't a single burnt bit — everything grilled to perfection haha.

The eel was also cut into nice bite-sized pieces, and the golden-brown grilling was exactly what I like about Cheonsanga Jangeoga. The way it's laid out so neatly — you can just tell they're a pro..

The pieces that finished grilling first were moved further from the fire, so we could eat them right away while still warm. Crispy on the outside, soft and tender eel meat inside,, truly delicious. So good for a dinner meal!

Teriyaki sauce + pickled ginger combo
Dipping the eel in the teriyaki sauce that pairs so well with it, then adding pickled ginger — it just melts in your mouth,, 🤍 This is the flavor I remember every time I visit this Nowon eel restaurant.

Bokbunja and eel soup too
Bokbunja, an essential pairing with eel! You have to drink it together ~

The eel and bokbunja combo was great, but eel soup pairs well too, so I'd recommend trying that alongside. Sweet and rich eel soup — such a good combo.

If you visit Cheonsanga Jangeoga, this Nowon eel restaurant, make sure to try the eel soup too haha. It goes so well with rice, so go ahead and give your body a full boost while you're there ..🤍
