Walking into Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, I liked that the dining space was bigger and more comfortable than I expected. The tables were spaced generously, so even with a crowd it didn't feel cramped, and it looked easy to sit and eat with a large group.

Partitions divided the space here and there, giving it a slightly cozier feel. Further inside there was also a private room, which looked great for family gatherings or group meals with several people.

It would also work well for something needing more privacy, like a first birthday party (dol) or a meal with parents. And personally, what I was happiest to see was a separate kids' playroom.

When you eat out with a kid, they can get bored before the food arrives or after they've finished eating, so having a playroom meant parents could get a little breathing room too. Of course, guardians still need to keep an eye on kids even in the playroom, but having a space that considers families made this feel like a solid choice for a Nowon family gathering, haha.

Looking for something our little one, Janggun, could eat, we tried the doganitang (ox knee bone soup), and he ate it better than expected. Visiting a buffet with a kid can come with worries about whether there's anything suitable for them to eat, so having a wide range of options was reassuring.

You could tell how much we enjoyed eating that day just from the plates we filled. We started light with salad, moved on to sushi and fresh salmon sashimi, then worked in hot food and barbecue along the way.

Rather than sticking to one thing, bringing back small portions of whatever we felt like meant we never got tired of it and made a full meal out of dinner.
