Gangnam date café open 24 hours with a warm geisha americano: Selecto

I'm Mr. Jeong, the guy who eats, snaps, and posts about it. Last weekend I went on a date with my girlfriend in Gangnam. While looking for a nearby café to get a bit of laptop work done, I remembered a place I'd visited before, so we went back again. Today's post is about Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch, located in Gangnam.

The café is a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station.

You can park at the nearby Yeonguibi public parking lot: ₩900 for the first 30 minutes, then ₩150 per additional 5 minutes.

Here's the inside of Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe, another spot known as a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station. The interior was spacious and bright, and I especially liked how spotlessly clean it was kept.

Selecto Coffee is known for its wide dessert selection — plenty of bread options and sandwiches too, so it could work well as a brunch spot.

The drink-making kitchen is open in the middle of the space, which gave me a sense of trust.

There's a good variety of tables — solo seats, a bar table, 4-person tables, and group tables — so it works whether you're alone or with a crowd.

During the day it's staffed, but at night it switches to unmanned operation, using a self-serve kiosk.

They're running a Naver receipt review event that gives you a free slice of cake or a macaron — definitely worth joining!

What we ordered: iced americano, warm geisha americano and pumpkin egg sandwich

We chose an americano, a geisha americano, and a pumpkin egg sandwich.

We ordered the pumpkin egg sandwich for a simple bite to eat.

I got a cool iced americano, while my girlfriend, who'd enjoyed the geisha americano before, ordered it warm this time.

The pumpkin egg sandwich came cut into two pieces, packed with pumpkin, egg, and vegetables — it would make a fine simple meal too.

The iced americano wasn't overly acidic, so it was smooth and easy to drink. The geisha americano had a bright acidity with a clean finish.

Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon good for laptop work in Gangnam?

That's my review of the Selecto Coffee I visited last weekend. Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is right by Sinnonhyeon Station, making it a great meeting spot too. With so many different table types, it's also good for laptop work. If you're looking for a café to get work done on your laptop in Gangnam, I'd recommend it.
