Yeoju Insect Museum Korean restaurant: bulgogi set for two, Nadeulmok

A Korean set-meal restaurant that made a great Yeoju Insect Museum lunch stop with my kid! Let me introduce Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap, where we had a hearty bulgogi set meal ❤️

A Yeoju hanjeongsik table full of side dishes and mains that won over both the kid and the rest of us! 🍚 We decided to fill up with a solid lunch first, then head to the Yeoju Insect Museum.

Is there a wait at 12:30pm on a weekday?

We got to this Yeoju hanjeongsik spot on a nice weekday afternoon! I was a little worried since it's known as a wait-list restaurant in Yeoju, but luckily we snagged the last open table 👍

A clean, tidy Korean set-meal restaurant ✨️ The friendly staff greeted us and sat us at the last available table! It was around 12:30, and our group was the last to get a seat before the waiting list started.

You pick a main from mackerel, bulgogi, braised cutlassfish, or soy crab! Every set comes with stone-pot rice, and there's no extra plain rice bowl (a real sign this place is committed to their stone-pot rice ‼️).

Bulgogi set for two with a 6-year-old: the starters

With my 6-year-old, our family ordered the bulgogi set for two. After ordering, the appetizers came out quickly 👍

Everything was plated beautifully and neatly 😍 Sweet-and-tangy salad and cheongpomuk (mung bean jelly)! The jelly was served slightly warm, which made it even tastier.

The japchae came out warm too, which was so nice 💕 My picky 6-year-old actually ate it well for once — surprised me haha.

The fried eggplant, crisp outside and soft inside, has meat stuffed inside! An eggplant dish that anyone would like — it does cost extra, but the other side dishes get refilled for free 👍

The stone-pot rice spread and how the bulgogi tastes

While we were still enjoying the appetizers, the table filled up with seasonal namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes, doenjang (soybean paste) stew, jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), and bulgogi 🤩

And it all comes with glossy, piping-hot stone-pot rice — such a great hanjeongsik spread for a Yeoju restaurant.

We scooped out the rice to eat with the side dishes, then poured water into the stone pot haha — at a Yeoju hanjeongsik place, you have to finish with sungnyung (scorched rice tea) for dessert, that's the real move 😋

The bulgogi set's main dish came in a generous portion! The meat was so tender too — a Yeoju bulgogi anyone would love.

The seasoning wasn't sharp or salty, so piling the bulgogi over rice and mixing it up meant both the kid and the parents cleared a whole bowl each 🍚

And on top of that, the jeyuk bokkeum that comes standard is also super tasty!!

Each side dish feels made with care, which makes this Yeoju hanjeongsik even better!

The finish to this Yeoju hanjeongsik meal is, of course, sungnyung scraped straight from the scorched rice!

Savory and warm, it leaves you feeling settled with no heaviness even after finishing the whole spread 👍

On the way out, I noticed the sign about Yeoju rice — best rice indeed 👍 Nice touch that they also have dessert coffee ready! If you're looking for Korean food near the Yeoju outlets or a good Yeoju hanjeongsik, this is worth visiting with the family!

It's just 5 minutes from the Yeoju Insect Museum, so it's the perfect spot to eat well with your kid before heading over!
