Looking for a beef restaurant with private rooms in Doan-dong?

When looking for a place for a family meal or gathering in Daejeon, I tend to look closely at not only the meat but also the atmosphere, parking, and amenities. This time, I visited Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch. With its spacious, clean setting, private dining rooms, butcher counter, and self-service station, it was a very comfortable place for a meal.

Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch is in the building next to the Gusu-won branch of No Brand, so it was really easy to find.

We arrived at Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch. Even from outside, the restaurant looked neat and generously sized. It was also convenient to visit by car, so I thought it would work well for families or gatherings with several people.

There were various sculptures outside too, which made it fun to look around.

What stood out most were the private rooms. If you want to enjoy a cozy meal just with your group, using one of these rooms would make the experience even more comfortable. They also looked like a good option for a meal with parents or an important gathering.

Each room was also stocked with a grill, cups, and cutlery, which was really convenient.

Using the butcher counter and self-service station

Butcher counter for choosing beef

Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch has a butcher counter where you can inspect the meat yourself, which was impressive. It felt like the fun of the meal began with choosing the meat.

Self-service station for accompaniments

There was also a self-service station on one side, where we could conveniently help ourselves to the foods and accompaniments we needed. A meal naturally stretches out when you enjoy meat with a variety of side dishes, so being able to fetch what we wanted ourselves was handy.

Along with the beef we chose ourselves, it was possible to order various extra dishes and sides. We ordered sirloin from the butcher counter.

Then charcoal was soon brought to the grill.

Yuk sashimi (Korean beef tartare) greeted us first.

They also served cheonyeop (thinly sliced beef tripe), and it was really fresh.

This was beef doenjang-guk (soybean paste soup), and it had such a deep flavor.

Tender sirloin grilled over charcoal

Among the many dishes that day, we tried the sirloin. Watching it cook appetizingly on the grill made my appetite rise right away. Once it was cooked just right, I took a bite and could really taste its nutty flavor and tender texture.

Because beef tastes different depending on how it is cooked, it was fun to grill it to our own preference.

As we slowly enjoyed the sirloin, which was clean-tasting yet full of juices, the plate was empty before we knew it. The beef was seriously so tender and delicious.

Finishing with galbitang, naengmyeon, and coffee

For dessert—well, we ordered galbitang (beef short-rib soup)! The meat was so tender, and the portion was generous. A bowl of rice was included.

And cold naengmyeon (chilled buckwheat noodles). Wow, you really have to try this. It was the perfect palate cleanser.

After the meal, we enjoyed coffee and ice cream for dessert too. After filling up on meat, a warm cup of coffee neatly refreshed the palate, and the sweet, cool ice cream made for the perfect ending.

With parking, a spacious interior, private rooms, a butcher counter, and a self-service station, Worang Myeongga Daejeon Doan Branch was a great place for a family meal or gathering. I was especially satisfied that we could leisurely finish with coffee and ice cream after enjoying delicious sirloin.
