Jeju restaurant for raw shrimp rice bowls and Hallasan pasta: Pyeongdae Alhi

I visited Pyeongdae Alhi (평대앓이) Gujwa Pyeongdae-ri during a 2-night, 3-day trip around eastern Jeju. I made a reservation in advance through Naver!

While planning my Jeju trip, I found Pyeongdae Alhi while looking up good places to eat around Gujwa. There is parking in front of the restaurant, so you can park there.

• Break time: 15:00–17:00
• Dinner: 17:00–20:00

Even the name felt so Jeju-like and cute that I had wanted to visit for no particular reason.

You can enter after paying, so we paid and went in. Whenever I come to Jeju, I always end up seeking out only famous restaurants, but this time I wanted somewhere I could eat at a slower pace while taking in the Gujwa atmosphere. That is how I came to Pyeongdae Alhi.

A charming and cute restaurant interior

The restaurant interior was charming and cute.

There were celebrity autographs here and there, too.

There was even a certificate recognizing it as a good restaurant.

They had decorated the place beautifully with little objects, too.

I could really feel how much care had gone into the interior at Pyeongdae Alhi in Gujwa.

It is a restaurant interior, but isn't the atmosphere so nice?

As I came in, I kept saying, “Wow, this is so nice,” and admiring it.

I think it would be nice to eat while looking out the window like this, too.

Rice bowl and pasta set meal

Before the meal, they brought out bread. It was soft and fluffy, and delicious!

We ordered the rice bowl + pasta set.

The salad was mild and tasty, and the shrimp was nicely grilled, so the salad and shrimp went really well together.

With sweet shrimp, flying fish roe, and pasta, it was full of fun textures to chew.

The springy, chewy shrimp goes without saying, and it was not salty at all—so easy to keep eating.
