That day I'd gone to Ananti and was looking for somewhere nearby to grab coffee. There are plenty of cafés around Ananti, but since I'd made it all the way to Gijang, I wanted one with a direct ocean view. That's how I found Deokmi Gijang Branch, a place that's serious about its desserts and drinks 💙💙

It sits right in front of the sea, so it already looked great in photos — but in person it was even prettier than I expected. It's fairly close to Ananti, so getting there was easy, and it also works well as a stop after shopping at Lotte Outlet Busan or IKEA Dongbusan. So if you're looking for an ocean-view café in Gijang to add to a trip or drive route, I want to recommend this one.

Is parking easy at Deokmi Gijang Branch?

Deokmi Gijang Branch doesn't have its own parking lot, but when I visited, I found street parking nearby without much trouble. That said, parking availability may change on weekends or during busy hours, so keep that in mind 🙏🏻🙏🏻 It's a nice route: shop at Lotte Outlet or IKEA in Gijang, then head a bit toward the coast for coffee 💙

Deokmi Gijang Branch sits right in front of the sea, and its clean white-toned building caught my eye immediately. The building is split into two sections, and the all-white exterior really matched the blue sea. 🤍🤍 The café building itself is so pretty that I was taking photos before I even walked in 🫢🫢

The moment I opened the door, the first thing that caught my eye was, of course, the ocean view. The sea stretching out beyond the window felt like it was hanging there like a framed picture 💙💙 (below is the annex)

The overall interior mood was clean and full of atmosphere 🧡🧡 The space centers on white tones, which matched the sea outside beautifully, and it felt like every seat had a pretty view. With the ocean visible through the window, even just setting down a drink made for a pretty photo. So this is a place fans of aesthetic cafés in Gijang would love too. I've been having fun hunting for pretty cafés lately, and what I liked about Deokmi is that it's not just photogenic — you can genuinely relax while looking out at the sea ☺️☺️

Deokmi Gijang Branch had a wide range of options beyond coffee — signature drinks, ades, tiramisu, cakes, and more. 🍰🍰 The desserts were displayed as handmade cakes.

What we ordered:

• 🥛 Signature mugwort latte
• 🥭 Mango ade
• 🍵 Matcha latte
• 🍰 Fig earl grey tiramisu
• 🍰 Oreo cheesecake

I was going to just get drinks, but once I saw how the cakes and tiramisu looked, there was no walking past them haha. If you're after a good cake spot in Gijang, I'd recommend ordering dessert alongside the drinks. Tried it and — must-have confirmed 🫢🫢

How did the bomnaeum latte, mango ade and matcha latte taste?

The signature mugwort latte 🌿🌿 — this is one I really want to recommend. It's the best mugwort drink I've had. The mugwort's distinctive flavor wasn't too strong or heavy, and it went down smoothly. If you like mugwort, I hope you get to try this one 💚💚

The mango ade had a sweet, refreshing mango flavor. Drinking it cold while looking at the ocean view made me feel like I was really on a trip. If you prefer sweet drinks over coffee, this one's for you.

The matcha latte had a nice balance of matcha's subtle bitterness and smooth flavor. It wasn't too sweet, so it paired well with the sweeter cakes.

The fig earl grey tiramisu caught my attention just from the name ❤️❤️ The combination of fig and earl grey gave it a different feel from typical tiramisu. The soft cream had a fragrant earl grey flavor added in, which went well with the drinks, and the fig gave it an interesting texture.

The Oreo cheesecake is perfect for anyone who loves Oreos! Highly recommend 🤎🤎 The dense, smooth cheesecake combined with the sweetness of Oreo was excellent :) Overall, both the drinks and desserts were satisfying, and eating them while looking at the pretty sea made everything taste and feel twice as good 💙💙

Need a café near Lotte Outlet Dongbusan or IKEA Dongbusan in Gijang?

A lot of people come to Gijang for shopping. Especially after visiting Lotte Outlet Busan or IKEA Dongbusan, I imagine plenty of people feel it's a shame to just shop and head home without also finding an ocean-view café. Deokmi Gijang Branch works well as part of that kind of itinerary.

Shop → head toward the coast → coffee at a café ☕️☕️ Setting up a route like that makes for a perfect day trip. It's also a nice place to rest for a bit if you're visiting Gijang with a kid or out for a family drive.
