Gijang Korean restaurant with 3 generations, dried corvina set: Kkomak
In short
Kkomak Hansang Gijang Main Branch is a cockle and dried corvina Korean restaurant on the 1st floor of Morning City on Gijanghaean-ro in Gijang, Busan. Three generations — a baby who wanted fish, a mom, and a grandmother — ordered the dried corvina set for two (₩54,000) and cleaned it out, from the side dishes to the last spoonful of tea rice. The mild, non-spicy side dishes and soft, moist dried corvina made it comfortable for both the baby and the adults.

A Gijang, Busan must-visit Korean restaurant: Kkomak Hansang (꼬막한상)
Location: 105, 106, 107, 108 Ho, 1F Morning City, 136 Gijanghaean-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea / Hours: 10:30–21:00 / Parking: available
A Gijang Korean restaurant we found because the baby wanted fish
When I asked my baby what she wanted to eat, she said fish, so I looked up good restaurants near our accommodation and ended up at Kkomak Hansang. Bottom line first: this place was a huge, huge success! The basic side dishes were amazing and the dried corvina was genuinely delicious. My mom came along too, and we all cleaned our plates.
Where do you park?
You can park in the underground parking lot of the Morning City building. Parking support was such a nice touch :)
* If the lot is full, roadside parking is also possible — 11:30–14:30 (no enforcement) / 8–9pm (no fixed camera enforcement)
The exterior and the waiting zone

After parking underground, you take the elevator up to the 1st floor and Kkomak Hansang Gijang Main Branch is right there. Here's what the exterior looks like! Since it's a famous restaurant with a waiting line, there's even a waiting zone set up at the entrance.
Inside the restaurant and kiosk ordering

A clean, upscale interior. It was spacious and comfortable, giving the feeling of visiting a high-end Korean restaurant. I brought my mom along and she kept praising the atmosphere as she walked in — I was so proud, haha.

Every table has its own kiosk, so you can order comfortably right from your seat :) They're currently running a Naver review event — participate and you can get a drink or a puffed rice snack, haha.
The menu layout

Kkomak Hansang, a Gijang, Busan must-visit Korean restaurant, has a menu of cockle salad / cockle bibimbap + salad / cockle bibimbap + beef pancake / dried corvina set. Set menus are only available for 2 people or more! Thinking about it, I eat other kinds of fish at home fairly often, but it had been a long time since I'd had dried corvina, so I decided I had to have it here. We ordered the dried corvina set for two :)
A table so full it could break its legs

After ordering, it wasn't long before a table so full it looked like it could break its legs was set in front of us. Neatly and elegantly arranged side dishes — they were all so delicious, like at a truly high-end Korean restaurant. Instead of strongly seasoned, punchy side dishes, they're built to go well with rice and the main dish, which made it really nice to eat with a baby too!

Dried corvina set for two (₩54,000)
We ordered the dried corvina set for two (₩54,000), and out came one whole dried corvina (bori gulbi, dried and seasoned yellow corvina) per person. They even give you plastic gloves so you can pick the fish apart yourself... such a nice touch ♥ Really convenient!

Was dried corvina always this good...? This is the best dried corvina I've ever had! It's incredibly soft and salty-savory, with amazing umami on top of that. The fish is moist yet chewy — so, so good... Dried corvina can sometimes feel hard or dry, but here it was truly soft and moist with just the right seasoning, according to my mom. We were genuinely amazed as we ate. My baby said it was delicious too, and started eating with her fork before getting impatient and grabbing it with her hands — I got a photo of that cute moment, hahaha.

Rice soaked in green tea water
Soaking rice in green tea water and topping it with dried corvina — how good could that be... pure bliss, that's what it is. Kkomak Hansang, a Gijang, Busan must-visit Korean restaurant, truly knows its food...

A meal comfortable for kids and adults alike
Coffee is available for dessert too. Since the menu isn't overly seasoned and fills you up with rice and everything else, I think it's a place where both adults and kids can have a healthy meal. Truly, truly recommend it... We came here on a trip, but if it's good, you become a real regular, and I plan to visit Kkomak Hansang, a Gijang, Busan must-visit Korean restaurant, again for sure!

There's also a clean sink at the entrance so you can wash your hands before and after eating. Such a nice touch..... ♥
The dried corvina was so delicious, and the handmade side dishes came out so neatly presented — an unforgettable meal at Kkomak Hansang, a Gijang, Busan must-visit Korean restaurant. I'd recommend it for a visit with parents as well as with a baby~~!
