Under-lash extensions at a Gongdeok lash salon in Seoul: Iyo Shop

Today I'm bringing you my "finally settled" lash extension salon review haha. It's been about a year and a half since I moved to Seoul... and I'm still out here wandering around searching for a lash salon, but I've finally found the place I'm sticking with.

These days a lot of people are going for that grown-woman look, right? So what does a grown woman actually need to have going for her?

Thick, full hair everywhere — that's what it takes. Hair on your head... eyebrows... eyelashes... all of it, thick.

So I've been getting lash extensions regularly, but they were always too expensive, didn't last long, or the design just wasn't my style, so I could never settle on one place — until I finally found a lash salon I actually love! Plus it's only a 3-minute walk from Gongdeok Station Exit 3, so the location is super convenient too.

Iyo Shop hours and parking near Gongdeok Station

Iyo Shop is open weekdays from 8am to 9pm, so it was easy to book even last-minute. I'm a huge last-minute planner and sometimes book right before, and the fact that Iyo Shop has such generous hours made booking so much easier haha. Office workers nearby could probably stop by right after work for a quick lash lift or lash extensions too.

On top of that, you get 2 hours of free parking in the same building's underground lot, so anyone driving can use the place easily too!

Before and after: mascara-style plus under-lash extensions

The most important part is the before and after, right? Let me reveal it haha. Just so you know, I got mascara-style extensions plus under-lash extensions at Iyo Shop. Not many places offer under-lash extensions, so it was great that Iyo Shop had it available — and the price was on the affordable side too! Haha.

First, the front-facing before shot. Pretty flat, right, sigh. I never bother with lash curlers or mascara because it's a hassle, so I usually just go about my day looking plain. And here's the front-facing after shot.

Aaah... it turned out so pretty. The side-view before shot is plain too... basically a total kid-face situation. And the side-view after shot.

Gorgeous. My eyes look bigger even without makeup. Before starting, the owner asked what style I wanted and recommended a design suited to my eye shape. Then she styled it to match my face shape, eye shape, and overall vibe! So even people who haven't gotten many extensions before could get this done without worry.

How to reach Iyo Shop on foot or by car

If you're walking from Gongdeok Station Exit 3, you'll come across some stairs like this.

Just take the stairs up to the 2nd floor. If you're driving or using the Park Palace main entrance instead.

Turn left, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, then walk all the way to the left end!

Inside Iyo Shop: atmosphere and hygiene

Personally, I feel like hair salons, nail salons, and lash salons all need to have a pretty space... because the space is the first thing that tells you about the owner's sense of style. I once went to a nail salon with a shabby vibe and my nails turned out a total disaster, so I've preferred pretty spaces ever since — and Iyo Shop's space was gorgeous too.

There was soft music playing too, and the space felt so cozy that I basically fell into a great nap... Office workers who are super exhausted should totally come get a lash treatment and heal a bit while they're at it.

Most importantly, since lashes are so close to your eyes, hygiene really matters. But the place was kept so clean that it gave me a lot of confidence. And there was a wide variety of lash extension materials too, so I could find a style that really suited me!

By the way, from what I've seen in other people's lash lift reviews, the lash lifts here also come out really pretty and well styled. I can't get extensions every single time, so I think I'll come back for a lash lift during the breaks between extensions!
