I've been in a bit of a beauty slump lately ,,, curling my lashes every single day gets so tiresome, and on work days curling them at all feels like a luxury I don't have time for. My lashes have also been breaking a lot and feel thinner, so after stressing about it I went to Salon Dohe in Sanbon for a lash perm. 📍 Location and parking for Salon Dohe. It's on the 7th floor of Seoryeon Building, about a 5-minute walk from Sanbon Station Exit 3. I got there by subway, and since it's really close to the station, even I — someone with zero sense of direction — found it quickly. For parking, you'll need to use the nearby paid public parking lot.

Salon Dohe opening hours and how to book

⏰ Salon Dohe's hours are Mon/Tue/Wed 11:00-21:00, closed Thu/Fri, and Sat/Sun 11:00-20:00. Just check the hours and book ahead before visiting! With hours running until 8pm both on weekdays and weekends, it's easy to drop by straight after work without having to use a day off.

I booked ahead through Naver Reservations. There's also a ₩3,000 coupon available if you write a photo review, so I was able to get it done a bit cheaper.

What the Salon Dohe studio feels like inside

Salon Dohe is done up in an overall white tone and kept extremely clean, so I never felt uncomfortable about hygiene at all. The bed was really plush and comfy too, so I could rest easily the whole time during the treatment 🛏️

👁️ My lashes usually droop down without much strength, and I have hooded eyes, so my eyes looked even sleepier ㅠㅠ Even when I put on mascara it smudged so quickly, which was a real source of stress 😭 Before the treatment, my lashes were pointing downward, so my eyes just looked blurry and undefined.

What makes the no-glue black clinic perm different

💭 The owner here apparently used to be a designer with 10 years of experience, and maybe that's why the moment she looked at my eyes, she recommended the curl that would suit me best. Since it's a no-glue perm, I was a bit worried because my skin has been sensitive lately and I was scared of a possible allergic reaction — 🥹 but I got to go through it comfortably with zero worry about glue allergies, and with zero eye fatigue I fell into a deep sleep and woke up to find the treatment already done 😴 I went with the black clinic perm, which combines black tinting with a clinic treatment ‼️‼️

After: how the eyes look without mascara

💖 After a good nap, the moment I looked in the mirror — whoa! My eyes looked so much more defined and I loved it. I didn't even put on mascara separately, but thanks to the tinting my lashes looked genuinely clear and dark, which made me super satisfied.

They have all kinds of rods — C curl, U curl, L curl — so custom treatments are possible, and mine came out curled up perfectly to match my eyes with no kinking 😆 I mentioned beforehand that I feel self-conscious about curls that go up too sharply and don't prefer that, so it came out naturally curled instead. Since it's a moisture-bomb perm, they said that even as it gradually fades it fades naturally without any frizz, and the longevity lasts 6 weeks or more, which is so great, isn't it?
