Using a lash curler every single morning got so tiresome, and lately I've been in a bit of a face-slump too... so I decided it was time to get a lash lift again after taking a break from them for a while!!

Why the nutrition + black tinting lash lift was the pick

I booked my visit to Iyo Shop through Naver Reservation, choosing the nutrition + black tinting lash lift menu. The whole interior was done in white tones, and the space felt cozy and clean — I liked the first impression right away.

Since I get lash lifts fairly often, I feel like black tinting gives a more defined look than a regular lift, and I figured adding nutrition would only make it better, so that's why I picked this option!

The pre-treatment consultation: a curl that stays off the eyelid

Before starting the lift, they first checked the current state of my lashes and talked with me about what kind of curl I wanted and how I wanted it done! I asked them to make sure the lift wouldn't touch my eyelid.

I'd once gotten a very strong curl at another salon before... and it was so strong that my lashes ended up brushing against my eyelid ㅠㅠ🥲 So I mentioned that and asked for a strong curl that still wouldn't touch the eyelid. Let me briefly explain the lash lift curl types!

One hour in the chair: how much did the lash lift sting?

You can expect the lash lift at Iyo Shop to take roughly 1 hour. You have to keep your eyes closed the whole time, so it might feel like a long wait... but lying in a comfortable position, it passed faster than I expected.

Throughout the whole lash lift there was almost no irritation or stinging around my eyes, and I barely noticed any chemical smell either haha

Once the lash lift was done, I could really feel that my eyes looked so much more defined!! I was like, this is exactly why people get lash lifts lol!!

It didn't look artificially lifted — the curl felt natural and alive, and even bare-eyed, my whole eye shape looked more defined and refreshed 😆 Not needing mascara or a lash curler was such a relief, and I was especially happier with how I looked bare-faced!! haha

Aftercare rules and the verdict on Iyo Shop

They told me not to wash my face for 5 hours after the lash lift.
