Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch: easy arrival from the underground parking

I went looking for a Dongtan hair salon to get a setting perm after a long while. After digging through reviews carefully, I landed on Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch!! It takes up the whole second floor and has underground parking, so getting there was easy.

After parking and pressing the button for the second floor, the entrance led straight to the counter. The stylists greeted me kindly. I'd booked ahead so I sat at the waiting seats for a bit, and soon my consultation with my designer started.

Setting perm C-curl that keeps the layered length

My designer today was Sia!! She carefully checked my hair and the style I wanted, then got straight to work haha. What I decided on today was a setting perm in a C shape — a C-curl perm. Since I already had layers, we decided to keep the length as is and go from there!

Juno Hair Dongtan Solbitnaru Branch is split into a white zone on the left and a brown zone on the right from this spot. Weekdays are usually done in the brown zone, but since it was the Friday before the holiday and busy, I was guided to the white zone.

Cafe Juno drinks and the amenities at each seat

After a simple wash, I sat down to have the solution applied. Designer Sia brought me a drink — I could choose from the Cafe Juno menu. There were surprisingly many options, and she quickly prepared the drink along with some snacks. I went with jasmine tea!! The snacks were tasty too. There was a book stand and armrest, great for passing time on my phone, and a charger was available too so I didn't have to worry about my battery!

While sitting, I looked around a bit and noticed Juno Hair runs a membership program, giving discounts and extra service for repeat visits. There seemed to be a lot of regulars, which looks like a great chance to get discounts and top-tier service! Especially in September there's a Toss event for extra discounts, so I'd recommend visiting to freshen up before the holidays.

How the setting perm works, from rods to heat treatment

When applying the solution, they roll it up on rods at the same time — she said it's to help the hair remember the shape so the curl comes out better. I was so excited for my careful C-curl perm haha. Setting perms take a while, so it's good to come with plenty of time to spare.

After some time had passed, heat treatment was done too, checking whether the perm had taken well and then adding more heat treatment as needed.

Then after rinsing the solution off, it was time for the real heat processing!! She said she was using smaller rods than originally planned because it looked like the curl might come out too loose, but explained that using smaller rods doesn't mean tighter curls — what matters is the number of wraps. She explained everything kindly and let me ask questions, so it was great being able to follow how my hair was progressing.

Now it was time to dangle. The dangling time was also monitored, checking the timing and how the curls were coming out. That's how the designer put the finishing touches on my hair through careful checking!!

The finished C-curl perm: a style that needs only a blow-dry

Once the curl came out like the photo on the left, she just shaped it with a flat iron and that was it!!!! Then all that's left is a treatment. She also showed me how to dry it — what's the advantage of a C-curl perm?! You just dry it. She told me not to worry about styling, just dry it comfortably.

And there it was, such pretty curls done ㅠㅠ Wow, I really loved it. Maybe because it was rolled on rods from the start, the C-curl came out really full, and with the layered cut it looked less like a neat student style and more like something styled with a flat iron!!!

Bag storage, carpeted walls and other details at Juno Hair

They stored my outerwear and bag in a cabinet for me, which was so convenient!!! They even had the sense to put the key in my gown pocket! Great to have safe bag storage too haha.

Juno Hair's standout point was in the restroom. Since it's known as a family-friendly salon that welcomes kids too, the owner apparently paid attention to even the smallest interior details. The hallway to the restroom is fully lined with carpet-like material on the walls, so there's a safety measure in place!! Even if kids run around and bump into the wall, it's cushioned so there's nothing to worry about haha. And the restroom itself was decorated in a clean, tidy mood, so it was pleasant to use too~

The seats in front of the mirrors were clean and tidy too, which I really liked!

There were plenty of hair products too, so I could consult with my designer and pick out customized hair care products to purchase.

A look around the brown zone, VIP zone, shampoo rooms and kids room

I also had a look around the brown zone, which was decorated with a slightly different feel from the white zone. True to its name, the brown interior stood out, giving off a clean, stylish mood reminiscent of a café!

There was a separate VIP zone too, with floor-to-ceiling windows to look outside, so there seemed to be no chance of getting bored.

The shampoo rooms were divided by capacity into rooms for 1, 2, 3, and 4 people, and the single-person shampoo room looked ideal for getting a care service. It even had a swinging door, making it a private space for treatment.

There was even a kids room for children — perfect!! I actually saw a baby happily playing in there haha. So cute~ No wonder I saw so many kids getting haircuts there — this really does seem like a great Dongtan hair salon to use as a family salon!!

I got my parking ticket issued and that wrapped up the day!! You just hand in the ticket at the underground parking lot on the way out.
