In short
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Seohae-ro in Dangjin, Chungnam. On a Friday evening return visit, a couple started with whole pork belly, then grilled seasoned galbi (marinated ribs) and pork skin over charcoal, and helped themselves to wrapping vegetables, dinner rolls, rice and draft beer at the self-bar. With several cuts to pick from, Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi suits group dinners where nobody can agree on one menu.

Good-quality meat, all you can eat — this is Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch.
It was Friday evening, so I was craving something even more delicious than usual. Call it a reward for surviving another week haha. So I picked a restaurant I'd already tried and loved 😊
Where do you park at Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi?
Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building at 6275 Seohae-ro, Dangjin-si, Chungnam, with a parking lot below, so it's easy to visit by car.

📢 One thing though — since there are lots of restaurants around the parking lot, it fills up fast at lunch and dinner. So some people who live nearby just walk over.
Inside the Dangjin Gijisi branch: a BBQ room without the greasy smell
I notice this every time I visit, but the place is really clean. No oily smell, no grease film, and the air doesn't feel stuffy haha. That's something I pay close attention to at BBQ restaurants, and Myeongnyun Jinsa Dangjin Gijisi really delivers on that front 👏

There are plenty of tables too, so it's big enough to handle group parties — company dinners, family gatherings, friend meetups, all of it.

They have baby chairs, and aprons to keep meat grease off your clothes. Storing bags at a BBQ place can be awkward, but there's a cabinet under the seat for that.
What's on the all-you-can-eat self-bar?

There's a long self-bar running through the middle of the restaurant haha.

There's lettuce, perilla leaves, pickled radish, chili peppers, garlic and other wrapping vegetables of every kind, plus ingredients for making bun cha (Vietnamese-style noodle salad), dinner rolls that are great with grilled galbi, and fried snacks and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) that kids love — the self-bar covers all ages.

One great thing is that rice is included — my husband and I always need rice with our meat haha. Getting freshly cooked rice without ordering it separately is a real perk in these high-price times! 👏🏻('ࠏ' ) Staff check the self-bar often, tidying up and refilling anything running low. It's a well-managed self-bar.

There's also a drinks corner and a draft beer machine! Having a beer with meat after work — imagine how good that would taste....💗😆

And then the meat corner. The meat is neatly displayed by type in a dedicated refrigerated showcase. It's portioned out for a single grilling round, so you just pick what you want and bring it over 💛
The color of the meat is nicely reddish with just the right amount of fat marbled in. Once grilled, it was tender and juicy inside haha. You'll know just how well-managed it is the moment you grill it!! ෆ˙ᵕ˙ෆ
Meat time at last: starting with whole pork belly
They start you off with the nation's favorite — pork belly — to open up your appetite haha. Look how thick that whole pork belly is! The second it hits the grill, sizzle~ and that savory aroma spreads, and oh, I got so hungry haha 🤤🤤🤤

Grilled over charcoal it goes sizzle-sizzle-sizzle — the charcoal aroma soaking into the meat makes it even tastier.

The meat's delicious eaten plain and delicious wrapped, too — with the various vegetables from the self-bar 😊 that's the charm of wrapping it up in different combinations.

⭐Scallion salad with pork belly⭐ = the unbeatable combo. You can eat until you're stuffed without ever feeling greasy haha.

The signature dish: seasoned galbi (marinated ribs)
Once we'd enjoyed the pork belly, it was time for seasoned galbi (marinated ribs)! It looks delicious just sitting there... one bite and it's just the right amount of sweet, with the meat's own juicy flavor still coming through. Whoever balances that marinade is a genius... truly the signature dish of Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi haha. The meat isn't chewy at all — it's tender pork ribs that anyone, any age, can enjoy.

Charcoal-grilled pork skin dipped in soybean powder
We put pork skin on the grill too — whenever I come to Myeongnyun Jinsa, I always grill the skin. Myeongnyun's pork skin seems to grill up without burning on the outside and gets nicely chewy. Dip it in the soybean powder from the self-bar and it's so good~🤍
Worth another visit to Myeongnyun Jinsa Galbi Dangjin Gijisi

Want Korean BBQ in Dangjin but can't decide because you want to try everything? Come to Myeongnyun Jinsa haha. The big advantage is being able to pick from so many different cuts of meat! That makes it perfect for meals where choosing a menu is tricky, like company dinners or group gatherings. Next time I visit, I'll have to time it right and try the makchang (grilled beef intestines)!
