A sushi buffet dinner I found in Chuncheon
Today, I’m introducing QooQoo Chuncheon Branch (쿠우쿠우 춘천점), a hot spot I’d strongly recommend for a family gathering at a buffet in Chuncheon!! I’d been thinking that I wanted to visit QooQoo, the sushi buffet chain, again after a long time, and I heard that QooQoo Chuncheon Branch was operating in Chuncheon, where I happened to be visiting—so I went straight there.

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch is on the B1 level of Two Top City, a large shopping complex in Chuncheon. Since the building itself is so big, the parking area was very spacious, making the visit easy and comfortable. I visited on the weekend, so the buffet was ₩32,900 per person. It has gotten more expensive than before, but I’d heard that QooQoo’s food quality has improved a great deal recently, so it didn’t feel overpriced.

A packed dining room and playroom, even near closing
Here’s the inside of QooQoo Chuncheon Branch. I came after hearing it was a famous hot-spot restaurant in Chuncheon, but I still couldn’t help being surprised to see the restaurant packed with people enjoying sushi even right before closing on Sunday. Seeing everyone from children to adults enjoying their meals made me think right away that I’d found the right place.

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch is also known as a restaurant with a playroom for children, something that’s not so easy to find these days. It was bigger than I expected, and since it had been a while since I’d seen a restaurant with a playroom, I could once again see why so many families come here. The kids definitely had plenty of energy—they were running around and playing hard.

I heard that QooQoo Chuncheon Branch receives especially strong reviews even among the many QooQoo locations operating nationwide. I already liked the brand, and if this is one of its more highly rated branches, how could I not visit?!

A self-serve bar with sushi and much more
After being shown to our table, I headed straight to the self-serve bar. From a wide range of sushi to salads and other dishes—there was so much to choose from!! The restaurant was already very busy when I saw the interior, so the food turnover was fast, and I think that made everything taste even better than at other buffets. There were so many kinds of food that I couldn’t possibly photograph them all. There was far more food than what I captured, so I especially recommend it if you’re looking for a buffet with lots of variety.

A filling plate, even without raw fish
It was a dinner where I could enjoy all kinds of sushi that I don’t normally get to try, along with plenty of other food!! Since I’m not very good with raw-fish sushi, I had wondered, “Should I even go to a sushi buffet?” But as you can see, there were many sushi options besides raw-fish sushi, which is a real plus: people like me who can’t eat raw fish can still have a filling meal.

In sharp contrast to me, who can’t eat raw-fish sushi, here is my girlfriend’s plate of it. She said that, because the food turnover was so fast, the raw-fish sushi in particular tasted noticeably better than at other places.

There were also plenty of noodle and soup dishes, including naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) and kkorigomtang (oxtail soup), so you can enjoy whatever suits your taste.

Desserts with fruit, bakery treats, and ice cream
The savory food selection was varied too, but the dessert corner surprised me once again. As you can see, there was everything from assorted fruit and bakery treats to ice cream, so I’d definitely recommend this place to dessert lovers as well. I was too full to try every dessert, but I think I kept going back for ice cream.
Since it had been a while since my last visit to QooQoo, this sushi buffet dinner was one I really enjoyed properly. My girlfriend also said it was sushi she’d enjoyed for the first time in a while, so if you usually love sushi, I think you can visit without hesitation. QooQoo Chuncheon Branch is a Chuncheon hot spot that would also be great for a family meal gathering!! I strongly recommend a visit.
