This is QooQoo Chuncheon Branch (쿠우쿠우 춘천점), a popular buffet in Toegye-dong, Chuncheon, Gangwon. When dining out with family, it can be so hard to find something that suits everyone’s tastes.

Chuncheon sushi buffet visited for a family meal

It is already well known as a Chuncheon sushi buffet with fresh sushi and California rolls, plus a great selection of seafood and even a barbecue corner. Thanks to the spacious, pleasant dining hall, it was an excellent place for a family gathering in Chuncheon.

How were the spacious dining room and kids’ facilities?

QooQoo Chuncheon Branch has a wide-open dining room and several open-kitchen stations, making it ideal for group gatherings. At the entrance, a 5% discount banner for military personnel and clear, tidy information made for a pleasant welcome.

There was plenty of space between tables and the traffic flow was well separated, so even during busy periods it was not inconvenient at all to fill our plates. There was also a nicely prepared playroom for children in one corner of the restaurant, creating an atmosphere where guests with kids could enjoy their meals comfortably. The generous parking support also made for an unhurried meal.

The seafood quality was especially impressive, with fresh live-fish sashimi, soy-marinated salmon, octopus, squid, spicy marinated crab, and refreshing mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup). At the live sushi station, the chefs carefully made salmon sushi and beef sushi right in front of us.

There was also a huge variety of rolls, including Bulgaeneo Roll, Chicken Roll, and furikake roll. At the noodle station, we could enjoy hot, freshly prepared memil-soba (buckwheat noodles), pho, and jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), which made the meal even more filling.

We enjoyed the barbecue corner’s pork belly and lamb chops, then finished generously with crêpe cake and gelato ice cream.
