Two pho bowls and a fried platter by the open kitchen: Mibundang
In short
Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch is a Vietnamese pho restaurant on the first floor of the Richian shopping complex near Dongtan Station in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. Seated by the open kitchen in a quiet corner, the writer ordered tendon pho and brisket-tendon pho along with a five-item assorted fried platter to compare flavors across cuts. Do you know what 'mibun' means? I only found out myself on this visit to Mibundang.

Apparently 'mibun' is the Chinese word for rice noodles.

So the name Mibundang itself carries the identity of a pho specialist restaurant.

Once I knew the meaning behind the name, it somehow felt even more special.

Today I want to share my visit to Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch, well known as a pho spot near Dongtan Station.

If you've been searching for pho restaurants near Dongtan Station, you've probably heard this name before.

I too kept coming across reviews until curiosity got the better of me and I finally went to see for myself.

For anyone looking for a solid pick in the 2 Dongtan area, this place is one I can confidently recommend haha.

The atmosphere with a view of the open kitchen
Walking into Mibundang, the first thing that caught my eye was the clean, well-organized interior.

Since it's an open kitchen layout, you can see the entire cooking process, which gave me a real sense of trust.

The seating was comfortable and a quiet mood hung over the space, so eating alone felt completely comfortable.

It struck me as the kind of place to come to on a day when you want a calm, quiet meal rather than a lively, buzzing atmosphere.

Choosing and ordering
Looking over the menu, I was impressed by the lineup — brisket pho, brisket point pho, tendon pho — letting you choose exactly to your taste.

After some thought, I ordered the brisket-tendon pho, which lets you enjoy three cuts at once, along with the tendon pho. Since I'd made the trip, I wanted to experience the charm of several different cuts.

I also wanted to fill up properly, so I added the assorted fried platter too — five different items on one plate, which looked plentiful just by sight.

Comparing tendon pho and brisket-tendon pho
Let me start with the tendon pho. From the very first spoonful, the milky broth was rich yet clean, without any greasiness.
The tendon's signature chewy texture came through beautifully, giving a subtle satisfaction with every bite.
The brisket-tendon pho melted in the mouth, while the brisket point added a savory, clean flavor — with all three cuts together, I could taste different layers of flavor within a single bowl.

The pho noodles themselves were springy too, pairing wonderfully with the broth.

Five items on the assorted fried platter
The assorted fried platter had five different items spread out evenly, and trying each one bit by bit was genuinely fun. The crispy fried pieces and the distinctive savory aroma of the cha gio (Vietnamese fried spring rolls) kept refreshing my appetite between bites.

If I'd eaten only pho, the meal might have felt a bit one-note, but the assorted platter made the whole spread feel much richer.

There were also sauces set out to suit different tastes, so even with just one cha gio I could enjoy it in several combinations — that was satisfying.

Eating pho alone near Dongtan Station — would I go back?
Walking out after the meal, I understood exactly why this place keeps coming up when people ask about pho spots in Dongtan.

The clean, well-balanced flavors, the quiet atmosphere, and the option to pick and choose different cuts all made for a satisfying visit in many ways.
It left enough of an impression that I'm already thinking about trying other cut combinations next time. On a day when you're craving pho near Dongtan Station, I'd definitely recommend Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch.
