Today I want to introduce Chongil Nakji, Tanbang branch, a Tanbang-dong favorite haha! I had the octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang here.. and wow, this is apparently a new menu item!! It's so good!! Totally recommend it~~

Chongil Nakji Tanbang branch: hours and parking

Chongil Nakji, Tanbang branch is closed Sundays and open Mon-Sat 11:00-21:00. Break time is 15:00-17:00, last order is 20:30.

You can park in the parking tower of the same building (Pine Ormier), and they give you a 1-hour parking ticket per table! The tower goes from floor 3 to 9, so parking is nice and easy!! On weekends and holidays outdoor parking is also available! On weekdays that's 11:30-14:00.

What's on the menu, and how the evening special works

There's the Chongil assorted special stir-fry — octopus + nakji (small octopus) + scallop + beef, a year-round health food — and the evening special (limited quantity), spicy and perfect with a shot of soju: octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang (yeonpo-tang + beef shabu) 29,000 won, and more!! So many delicious things prepared!!

Pork nakji stir-fry, special nakji stir-fry, scallop nakji stir-fry! Plus the night-only octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang with beef shabu-shabu! There's a wide range of rice bowls and set meals with cheonggukjang and wrap vegetables, so there's plenty to choose from haha!!

You can also adjust the spice level~~ With 3 spice levels, anyone can enjoy it without worry haha!! Medium spice is about as spicy as Shin Ramyun~ The smoky soy sauce bulgogi side dish is popular too! Cheonggukjang, namul side dishes, and wrap vegetables all come with free refills!! Great value too!! The portions are generous~~ haha

How Chongil Nakji started as a 4.5-pyeong delivery shop

Chongil Nakji started in a tiny 4.5-pyeong space with just nakji stir-fry, delivery only, but its honest flavor won people over and it grew into what it is today haha! It's always near the top of Naver restaurant searches!

How does the octopus yeonpo-tang with beef shabu-shabu taste?

The octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang comes with beef too!! They cut up the whole octopus for you!! Into nice bite-sized pieces~~

They boiled the octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang until it bubbled haha!! Time to add the beef for shabu-shabu!! The beef is so tender and delicious~~ haha The broth is the real deal!! Totally rich~~ Dip the beef in the sauce and eat!! haha

Dip the octopus in chojang (vinegar-chili sauce) too!! The octopus is so plump and delicious~ haha The flesh is really thick and has such a great chew!!! This octopus was so good, it's actually why I came for the octopus-nakji yeonpo-tang~~

Dip the scallops in chojang too!! Not fishy at all, and really really delicious!! Since it's a limited-quantity menu!! Make sure to book ahead through Naver Reservation!!!
