Haeundae Korean BBQ for families with basil pork: Gwang-anmok
In short
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Haeundae Station in Busan. We chose the 82,000 won B Set with dongchimi cold noodles, and loved the basil pairing, prepared child seating, and self-service bar. A great spot for a family pork BBQ meal in Haeundae.

Not long ago, my husband said he had to go to Busan, so we quickly booked a place in Haeundae and made a little trip of it~ I never realized it while living there, but after moving away, Busan is just so nice,, Our accommodation was right in front of Haeundae Beach, so while looking for a good meat place near Haeundae Station, Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch caught my eye and we went! When I lived in Gwangalli, a meat restaurant called Gwang-anmok opened and I tried it—it was so good~~ Hearing there was one in Haeundae too, we went straight there.

Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch location and parking
The address is 2F, 16 Gunam-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. It is open from 12 p.m. until 11 p.m., with a break from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be closed for Chuseok on September 25, so keep that in mind! You get one hour of parking support when using Hyundai Parking Lot.

Our reserved table before visiting with a child
Just in case, we made a reservation the night before. When you reserve, they set everything up for you in advance like this~ If you have time, I recommend booking ahead! I noted that we were visiting with a child, and they prepared a toddler chair, a baby chair, tableware, and even gim (roasted seaweed)—such a touching detail 🤍

Tablet ordering and choosing the B Set
We could order on the tablet at the table. Everything was shown clearly with photos, so it was easy to choose :)
- Anmok-sal and premium pork belly ₩14,500
- Dduggeong-sal ₩15,000
- A Set ₩57,000 / B Set ₩82,000 / Family Set ₩109,000
- Kimchi fried rice ₩8,000
- Dongchimi cold noodles ₩7,000, and more
We considered the A Set, but we're a family that eats well and thought we'd regret it if it wasn't enough, so we chose the B Set! We didn't choose rice separately, and because it was hot, added an order of dongchimi cold noodles.

Spacious tables and par-cooked pork
It was crowded inside, so I couldn't take detailed photos, but all the tables were spacious and nicely spaced apart. It made for a comfortable dining atmosphere, which I loved. The meat here comes par-cooked, and it was nice that you could watch the process too! Hands wiped with a paper wet wipe, ready to eat!

They said the meat takes around 10 to 15 minutes to par-cook, but it came out faster than expected! Seriously, so gorgeous.. They told us to grill the pork belly for about one minute, while the pork neck could be eaten to our preferred doneness~ Ahh, what is this visual.

The platter was completely full, with loads of mushrooms and green onions too. Grilling it all together made it even tastier~

Sauces, the self-service bar, and the basil pairing
Let me show you the sauces and side dishes that are delicious with the meat. The staff also told us how to eat it for the best flavor~

It was great that we could help ourselves to more side dishes at the self-service bar. I loved the minari (water dropwort) and lettuce salad so much that I went back for two more servings haha.

Anyway, for our first bite, we had it with salt, then tried every single one of the prepared sauces!

They also showed us how to eat it on a basil leaf, and I was genuinely surprised—it was so different from the usual way of eating pork and tasted really refined haha. It was like a Korean BBQ place suddenly turning into a Western restaurant.

Finishing with dongchimi cold noodles
There was so much meat that we skipped ordering rice and got dongchimi cold noodles instead. My husband, who usually loves naengmyeon broth and dongchimi broth, gave this one two or three thumbs up!

It was a meal that suited the lingering heat of late summer perfectly~

On our way out, they gave us a free side-menu coupon for a return visit. They also had dry perfume and wet wipes set out on the stairs, so it felt like a place that considered you even after the meal! I loved that kind of thoughtful touch, and we left having finished our meal happily. Lots of people visiting Busan head to Haeundae, so if you're craving meat or samgyeopsal (pork belly) near Haeundae Station, I recommend Gwang-anmok—it has baby chairs too!
