Pizza and beer terrace in Gwangjin, Seoul: Pizza E Michida

As the weather suddenly turned chilly, I came down hard with the flu. I was taking medicine and feeling all weak, but once I started feeling a little better, I thought pizza and beer on an outdoor terrace would be sooo good in this cool early-autumn weather—so I searched around and found this place! It is one of the newly opened hot spots near Konkuk University Station, and Pizza E Michida, already so well known for delicious pizza, has opened in Konkuk University. I went and had a wonderfully filling time~ >_<

Pizza E Michida near Exit 1 of Konkuk University Station

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch is near Exit 1 of Konkuk University Station. Walk straight along the road and you will spot its orange sign; the entrance has such a distinctive atmosphere that it was easy to find.

There is a terrace set up on one side, almost like a Korean outdoor drinking spot. In cool weather like this, it would be lovely to eat outside too.

Once inside, a stylish, atmospheric space opens up. With its moody interior, it would be great to come here for dinner after a date around Konkuk University too.

You can order by QR code, which was nice because I could comfortably order from my seat. The table was thoughtfully set with hot sauce and cheese powder that go so well with pizza.

After ordering, the basic setting came out quickly: pickles to eat with the pizza and nachos to nibble on before the food arrived.

Maybe because it had been such a long time since I last had nachos, but they were so delicious that I even ordered another serving. They were perfect for getting my appetite going.

A full spread of half-and-half pizza and chicken

I ordered a set menu that comes with pizza and chicken. For the half-and-half pizza, I chose arugula garlic shrimp on one side and bacon sweet potato on the other, then added salad, boneless chicken, zero-sugar cider, and arancini that I received for writing a Naver receipt review. The table was loaded with food! Okay then, let’s dig in~ >//<

The pizza came out piping hot, and I loved that they lit a candle underneath so it would stay warm right through the last slice.

Sweet and salty bacon sweet potato pizza

Look at that cheese stretch~ >3< The bacon sweet potato pizza was piled high with sweet potato mousse, making it wonderfully sweet. The sweet potato flavor and savory saltiness of the bacon came together in that addictive sweet-salty way, making it perfect with pizza and beer.

The arancini I received for writing a Naver receipt review.

Arancini are fried rice balls with cheese inside. I dipped them generously in myeongran mayo (pollock roe mayonnaise), and the outside was crisp while the fried rice and sauce worked so well together. They were chewy yet fluffy, with such a great texture.

The salad refreshed my palate every now and then, so nothing became too rich and I could just keep eating.

Arugula garlic shrimp pizza that paired well with beer

Personally, I really, really enjoyed the arugula garlic shrimp pizza.

I put on gloves and really went for it, and I was completely satisfied by that long cheese pull. The aroma of arugula and basil blended beautifully with the garlic and bouncy shrimp, making it great with beer.

Thick-cut potatoes and boneless crispy chicken

You cannot leave out chicken, pizza’s best partner, and I loved that I could enjoy boneless crispy chicken and thick-cut potatoes all at once.

The chicken was crispy and delicious on its own, and just as delicious dipped deeply in the seasoned sauce.

A good spot for dates and university gatherings

Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch has a lovely atmosphere and tasty food, so I think it would be great not only for couples on dates but also for students from Konkuk University and Sejong University. When the weather is nice like it has been lately, it is also wonderful to eat while enjoying the cool breeze, so I will have to go back again soon. I love pizza so much and used to visit Pizza E Michida often—now that there is a branch in Konkuk University, I will have to come all the time~ >_<
