Yeoju IC dakgalbi with pine nut makguksu: Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon
In short
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch is a charcoal-grilled soy sauce dakgalbi (grilled chicken) restaurant right in front of Yeoju IC, five minutes by car from Yeoju Premium Outlets. Lunch with parents before outlet shopping meant charcoal-grilled soy sauce dakgalbi, bibim makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles), jatmul makguksu (chilled pine nut broth noodles) and extra rice cakes, with staff grilling all the meat so the table could just talk. Wrapping a piece of the charcoal dakgalbi in the pine nut broth noodles is the highlight at Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi.

How close is Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi to Yeoju Premium Outlets?
Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch sits right at the entrance to Yeoju IC, so it was really easy to find the moment we got off the highway. Plus, it's only about a 5-minute drive to Yeoju Premium Outlets, making it the perfect stop for a hearty meal before or after shopping. I also thought it would be an ideal spot to visit before or after a round at Namyeoju CC or other nearby golf courses.

A new building and a big parking lot right at Yeoju IC
The moment we arrived, what caught my eye was the large, clean, newly built building.

True to a place that can seat about 100 people, I really loved the spacious parking lot and pleasant interior.

The tables were spaced generously apart, and even the self-serve bar and kitchen were kept super clean — total win for a neat freak like me!

The parking lot in particular was huge and well laid out, so it seemed like a great spot for family gatherings or group get-togethers arriving in multiple cars without any parking worries.

The menu was stocked with nothing but delicious options, and here's what I ordered!

Charcoal-grilled soy sauce dakgalbi: the staff grill it all for you
The main dish at Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch, charcoal-grilled soy sauce dakgalbi, apparently uses 100% chicken thigh meat! After ordering, basic side dishes that pair well with dakgalbi came out, and then — enter today's star, the dakgalbi. Maybe that's why the meat texture was so tender and juicy. •♥ Since it's grilled over real charcoal instead of a regular gas burner, the subtle smoky aroma and juicy meat filled every bite!

Best of all, after the meat came out pre-grilled, staff finished grilling it to just the right doneness right at our table, which was so convenient. No need to worry about grilling or trimming burnt bits — I could just relax and chat with my parents over the meal. haha

Once it was fully grilled, they piled the meat to one side for us, so yum, I dug in.

I tried it wrapped in lettuce with perilla leaf and garlic, and also wrapped in pickled perilla leaves — dakgalbi really is amazing no matter what, ㅠㅠ. Every combination was delicious. The sauce wasn't too sweet or salty, with a deep savory flavor that felt approachable for kids and grandparents alike! And the makguksu (buckwheat noodles) pairing with dakgalbi was pure art,

Bibim makguksu or pine nut broth makguksu: which one to order
The spicy-sweet sauce and chewy noodles of the bibim makguksu were a fantastic match for the savory charcoal soy sauce dakgalbi.

But the real showstopper was this jatmul makguksu! The moment I took a sip of the broth, I thought, ah, this is it... haha. The broth was somehow savory, refreshing, and tangy-sweet all at once, with a rich, nutty pine-nut flavor so addictive I couldn't stop drinking it.

The combination of a well-grilled, golden piece of charcoal soy sauce dakgalbi rolled up in the cool, nutty jatmul makguksu noodles was absolutely magical! The smoky, tender chicken thigh meat combined with the nutty, clean noodle broth for a total umami explosion, haha ❤️🔥

My favorite rice cake add-on also came out golden and grilled, and yum, I ended up eating all of it myself. 😉
