Today's post is about a Namcheon-dong meat restaurant I visited near Gwangalli — Haean Sutbul Galbi! I'd eaten so much raw fish since coming to Busan that I suddenly craved meat, haha. There were a lot of reviews saying the meat quality was great, so I went to check it out. Let's get into this Namcheon-dong meat restaurant review, Haean Sutbul Galbi ❤️

It was easy to just wander in after looking around Gwangalli Beach~ It's only a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Geumnyeonsan Station, so it's super convenient by public transit too.
The retro sign caught my eye from far away!
The vibe was so distinctive that it was easy to spot, haha.
Retro exterior: what does the inside of Haean Sutbul Galbi look like?
The inside of Haean Sutbul Galbi was spacious and comfortable!
The exterior is totally retro, so I thought maybe the inside would have that old-school vibe too~~ But it turned out to be totally clean and tidy!!
Honestly I really love this kind of cleanliness, haha. A place that keeps the retro feel while staying spotless! The staff were kind too, and I was shown to my seat feeling really good about it.
What is on the menu at Haean Sutbul Galbi?

The menu was pretty simple! Pork galbi (short ribs) is the star item here~ Every galbi at Haean Sutbul Galbi is made with domestic grade-1 chilled meat. They say the pork is selected once more even among the grade-1 chilled cuts, then low-temperature aged, giving it a refined flavor and a savory taste.
Besides pork ribs, there's also beef ribs and grilled tail, plus meal items. Interestingly, instead of naengmyeon (cold noodles) they have milmyeon (wheat noodles) — so Busan, haha~~
Three kinds of galbi and the banchan side dish spread
We ordered the premium raw pork ribs, grade-1 seasoned pork ribs, and authentic seasoned beef ribs. I wanted to try one of each, so we ordered one of every type of meat, haha.
Right after ordering, they set the side dishes right away~
Japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), julienned kimchi, wrap greens — all good side dishes to pair with the meat~ They also prepared three different sauces suited to each type of meat~~
Premium raw pork ribs, 14,900 won
The meat came out soon after. Ahh, doesn't it just look like great quality meat? The raw ribs were grilled first. Since the raw ribs and seasoned ribs use different grill plates, just tell the staff and they'll swap it for you.
Ahh, can you see how nicely browned it got? Writing this post is making me hungry again. The meat quality was really good! It had no smell at all, clean and light in flavor! The texture when chewing was great too, seriously delicious!!
Grade-1 chilled seasoned pork ribs, 14,900 won
Eating it with the sauce and wrap greens that came alongside was seriously amazing~~ We asked staff to swap the grill plate, and they put the seasoned ribs on for us.
The meat was already so good, and then on top of that there's the amazing seasoning too... words fail me.
The seasoning was genuinely delicious — turns out it's aged for 72 hours!!
No wonder it was so tasty...

Next up, the seasoned beef ribs!! This one seriously melts in your mouth... the beef was definitely tender!
Paired with aged kimchi, it was an amazing combo... The portions were so generous that even eating just meat left us stuffed... If I'd had a bit more room, I would've had stew and rice too, ugh.
The meat quality was so good that I left completely satisfied! Clean and light flavor, seriously delicious! This is one of the places I'll come back to next time I'm in Busan~~
