Today I want to introduce a poke place I visited for a healthy meal! This is an honest review — partial discount from the business, rest paid with my own money! 🧡
The night before, I ate something greasy and fattening for dinner... and felt so guilty about it 🥲 Don't you all have those moments? When I decide this one meal is going to be healthy no matter what, the first thing that comes to mind is poke. It lets you get carbs, protein, and fat all in one balanced bowl, so it's one of my favorite lunch menus 🧡
While looking for a poke and salad place near my office around COEX Mall, I ended up at Ola Poke Samseong Branch 🥗 If you work near Samseong Station or COEX, this is a good spot to stop by for lunch sometime — let me walk you through the menu and the vibe of the place in detail!
Where is Ola Poke Samseong Branch, and what are the hours?

It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Samseong Station, right across from Hyundai Department Store! I noticed the famous Hwimoon High School is right next door.
Inside Ola Poke: solo-dining zone and outdoor terrace

Orange seems to be the shop's signature color! From the sign to the accent chairs, everything was orange, which made the place feel lively.
The space isn't huge, but there's seating for groups and small parties alike, and there's especially a solo-dining zone, so it's comfortable to eat lunch alone too!
And on days like these — the rare good-weather days we only get a few of each year — eating on the outdoor terrace means you get some sunshine too, two birds with one stone!! There were already people eating outside on the day I went 🍀

Water, utensils, and napkins were self-service! And here's a point where I felt the owner was really thoughtful.
- 🍀Hair ties for female customers
- 🍀A phone stand for solo diners
- 🍀And even mouthwash!!
Sometimes lunch runs late or you need to rush back into the office. In moments like that, having mouthwash around is such a lifesaver! Kudos to the owner's thoughtfulness 👍🧡
Ola Poke menu and how to order your bowl

You order at the kiosk! There are so many menu options that you could eat something different every day for a month! Prices also seemed a bit cheaper compared to other chain stores!

I try not to drink soda if I can help it, so I didn't order any, but there was a drink zone too. If you're taking a small can as a review perk, or a large can as a paid drink, you can grab it there! 🍀
Raw salmon poke, 13,500 won: half rice base with every topping

Since I love salmon, I ordered the raw salmon poke (₩13,500)! >< Turns out it's actually the signature menu item here!
Ola Poke also preps all their ingredients fresh each day, so every bowl is made with same-day ingredients. They also minimize chemical seasoning so you can taste the natural flavors as they are!
For the base, to make it more filling, I went with the standard half-and-half (brown rice + vegetables), and since I'm not picky about ingredients, I asked for every topping to be added! If you have any allergies, just let the owner know in advance.

Which sauce goes with which Ola Poke bowl?
I always go with sriracha, but I know a lot of people struggle to pick a sauce! Ola Poke kindly lists recommended sauces for each menu item.
- Original tuna poke – sesame soy sauce / wasabi mayo
- Garlic shrimp poke – yuzu soy sauce / chili garlic mayo
- Super protein poke – sesame soy sauce / sriracha mayo
- Seafood poke – yuzu soy sauce / truffle mayo
- Salmon poke – sesame soy sauce / sriracha mayo
- Steak poke – sesame soy sauce / wasabi mayo
- Avocado poke – sesame soy sauce / black sesame sauce
- Smoked duck poke – sesame soy sauce / teriyaki sauce
- Chicken breast poke – sesame soy sauce / sriracha mayo
- Buldak octopus poke – yuzu soy sauce / buldak sauce (comes pre-drizzled)
- Buldak salmon poke – sesame soy sauce / buldak sauce (comes pre-drizzled)
- Fried tofu poke – sesame soy sauce / black sesame sauce
This sauce pairing list seems like it'll come in handy! 👍

My personal poke-eating tip (?) is to not pour all the sauce on at once! If you add too much sauce, the sauce flavor overwhelms everything, and it's better to adjust as you go and add more later!

Is the portion filling? A lunch that lasted until the end of the workday
A little embarrassing to admit, but I really finished every last bite! 🙊 Usually with salad or poke bowls, I get hungry again in the afternoon after lunch, but Ola Poke's generous portion and well-rounded composition meant I wasn't hungry again until I left work! 👍
For a healthy lunch near Samseong Station and COEX! If you're looking for a great spot for solo dining, definitely check out Ola Poke Samseong Branch! 🧡
