Songdo, Busan self-photo studio with moving photo books: Songdo Times

We went on a family trip to Songdo in Busan and wanted something more fun than a plain studio shoot, more like a life four-cut photo booth but with a twist. That's when I found 👀👀 the moving photo book place, Songdo Times!!! Let me tell you about our chaotic family photo adventure 😆😆

Where is Songdo Times in Busan?

The location of Songdo Times is so good!! It's right in front of Songdo Base Station, the base of the Songdo Cable Car!

What props can you use at Songdo Times?

So many props! Headbands, dolls, glasses, sunglasses, hats, all kinds of costumes!!! Princess magic wands, magic headbands! Too much to even describe!! I've never seen a place with this many props before~

The inside is clean, all white, and the lighting is great!! Since the lighting was so bright, the kids got excited, and mom even snapped a few selfies too haha. Was this secretly a selfie spot too...?

We went with the kids so it was a bit hectic, but luckily there weren't many other customers there at the time so we could shoot quickly and get out ^_^ hahaha. Apparently the more the photo book moves, the better! Since Songdo is a tourist spot where a lot of foreigners visit, the instructions were also well explained in foreign languages, so it looked easy to use without any trouble.

Making a moving photo book with two kids

Our chaotic, everyone-doing-their-own-thing family photo ^____^ haha. Moving around a lot turned out to be harder than I expected! We're not really a family that takes a lot of photos, so...;;;; The book says lots of movement looks cuter, but the Dona family's bodies just wouldn't cooperate...

This yellow machine can print in a black-and-white newspaper concept!! If you're already visiting Songdo, you gotta get one of these too, right?

On one wall, lots of visitors had stuck up their photos! Memories hanging everywhere.

Is an unstaffed self-photo studio easy to use?

Making the photo book turned out to be simple! The instructions were well laid out everywhere, so even someone like me who isn't handy and bad at making things could do it easily! Even though there's no staff on site, the detailed explanations throughout meant there was no inconvenience at all — being unmanned actually had more advantages than downsides.

The hours are a whopping 24 hours a day!! You can come shoot whenever you feel like it! Free parking is also available, so if you're already at Songdo Beach, there's no reason not to stop by.

There are also plenty of tourist spots nearby, like Songdo Beach, the cable car, Huinnyeoul Culture Village, and Amnam Park... so it's great for making memories with friends, a couples' date, or as part of a family outing — Songdo Times is a perfect stop to add to any Songdo itinerary!
