Hi, this is Min, always on the hunt for good food in Jeonju >,,< I'm always stuck deciding what to eat, but today I went to Phodam, a pho place that's perfect for lunch. I'd been curious about it for a while just passing by, and I finally made it 🙌

What is the restaurant like inside?
The inside of Phodam really gives off Vietnam vibes ~ 🇻🇳 It feels like you flew to Vietnam just to eat pho! And since Vietnamese staff are cooking, it made me even more excited haha

What we ordered at Phodam and what it cost
- Cha gio (fried spring rolls) 6,900
- Banh xeo 9,900
- Brisket pho 8,900
Amazing value! This is what I ordered 🧚♀️ Besides these, Phodam's other popular menu items include bulgogi banh mi, bun cha, fresh spring rolls (Vietnamese-style wraps), and spicy pho. There's a wide variety of dishes so it seems great for a group to visit together and share. Everything I ate was delicious. I'm curious about the banh mi too, so I'll definitely go back for that next time!

The side dishes come out like this, and here's the side dishes that come with banh xeo. Ready to eat banh xeo (s o e x c i t e d). And they even give you wet wipes — such a thoughtful touch 😵💫💖

How to eat banh xeo for the first time — Phodam has a QR guide
Just look at this visual •• 🤤💦💦 It was my first time trying banh xeo, and it was bigger than I expected and packed full inside! Can you see how stuffed it is?!?!??
Since it was my first time eating banh xeo, I asked how I was supposed to eat it, and the staff kindly showed me in person .. ෆ

But on my way out I noticed they actually have 'how to eat banh xeo' right on the main screen!!!! So thoughtful, owner ,,, You scan the QR code with your camera and it links to instructions on how to eat banh xeo ~!

I wrapped it up just like they showed me! It was my first time wrapping without dipping the rice paper in water first, so it felt unfamiliar, but it was way~~~~ more delicious than I expected (for real)
How do the brisket pho and cha gio taste?
Phodam's brisket pho tastes like the real Vietnam the second you take a bite. The pho I'd had elsewhere must have been fake. The cha gio was crispy crispy ,, and the pairing with the sauce was so good, so tasty. This is the crispiest cha gio I've had so far. I love cha gio because I love that crunch haha

How is everything here so good? Great value + delicious = Phodam. Now I get why it's a spot with so many repeat visitors on Naver!!!!! (everything's just so good ㅜ;;)

While I was eating, people kept coming in nonstop. I was the only one who didn't know about this hidden gem 😂😂 I recommend Phodam as a Jeonju lunch spot! It's close to downtown and Hanok Village, so it's perfect for anyone looking for somewhere to eat nearby. Great value plus great taste — I'll definitely be back to Phodam!
Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch: the verdict
