September's three seasonal cakes at Sijeunikeu: peach, mango and fig

I visited Sijeunikeu, a cake shop on the basement floor of Shinsegae Department Store! Because it's inside the department store, parking was easy, and it was also super convenient to reach by public transport.

Sijeunikeu had three types of cake total! You might think, 'huh, isn't that fewer than expected?' but Sijeunikeu makes its cakes with whatever seasonal fruit tastes best at the time, so the lineup changes constantly. And since the cakes are made same-day, that made me even more excited!

Just looking at them, they're so packed with fruit they look absolutely delicious, right? 🍰🍑🥭 There were various price ranges by size, and the bigger the cake, the more fruit went into it too.

Extra packing for a long trip home, plus number candles

There was also a packing service for people who need to travel far after buying a cake. For an extra fee, they wrap the cake carefully so it doesn't spill or get messed up in transit. Thanks to that, I felt I could carry it home safely even from a bit of a distance! Number candles were also sold separately, which would be great for birthday or anniversary cakes. 🎂

And during my September visit, three cakes were ready: peach, mango, and fig! Since they were piled high with seasonal fruit, they looked amazing even before I tasted them. 🍑🥭💛

How the Sijeunikeu peach cake tasted

My place is nearby, so I just carried it home as is~ The walk home with a pretty cake in hand was so exciting! 🎂

Ta-da! Of this season's lineup, the one I picked was the peach cake! 🍑 The color alone is so pretty, and just looking at it puts you in a good mood — I feel like buying this for a birthday or special occasion would get you a lot of compliments for having great taste. A cake that wins women's hearts, haha.

Another thing I liked was that the cakes are made and sold same-day using seasonal fruit.

Above all, I liked that it wasn't just overly sweet. The sweetness of the fresh peaches blended really well with the soft texture of the cake, so I kept reaching for more!

I ate it with my family, and seeing everyone enjoy it made me weirdly proud 😂 If I'd known this cake was this good, I would have tried it sooner!! If you're looking for a delicious, upscale cake for an anniversary or birthday, I'd totally recommend this place! 💕

Maybe because the fruit was fresh, but the cake itself was really clean-tasting and just plain delicious,,, 🤍 With no unnecessary extras — just the exact fruit needed — it actually felt more upscale and refined.

The combination of fruit and cake worked so well together, and above all, it wasn't too sweet and the fruit was fresh, so it's a flavor anyone, young or old, could enjoy without any worry. So I'd recommend it not only to people looking for a kid's birthday cake, but also to those looking for a birthday cake for parents or older family members. 🎂 It's a place I only discovered thanks to this opportunity, but I think I'll be coming back whenever I'm craving cake! 😊 HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎂🎉
