Here's our review of Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch, a Gwangalli brunch spot our family of three visited together~
Weekend brunch with my bread-loving kid is one of our little joys, but my child wakes up at 7am... and there aren't many brunch places open that early, right?
Wide awake since dawn, I was searching for somewhere to go and found a place that opens as early as 8am~~ If you want to enjoy a leisurely brunch in Gwangalli starting from the morning, this place is perfect!
Exterior and interior mood
The building itself has such a sleek look that it caught my eye from far away.

Inside, wood tones mixed with beige and ivory gave it a cozy yet clean atmosphere. The large windows let in beautiful natural light, so just sitting there put me in a good mood. The tables were spaced generously too, so it was totally comfortable to visit with a kid.

Fitting for a well-known Gwangalli brunch café, I saw plenty of solo diners and foreign visitors too — a comfortable spot for couples and friends alike.

Why it worked with a kid
They had a baby chair and even set us up with separate kids' fork and spoon~ Thanks to this thoughtful touch, I'd really recommend this place to parents looking for a Gwangalli brunch café.

Water and napkins are available at the self-serve bar.
Famous Benny's menu

Here's what we ordered that day.
- Apple carrot juice ₩7,000
- Drip coffee ₩8,000
- Flat white ₩6,000
- Egg in Hell ₩15,000
- French toast ₩17,000
- Sourdough ₩3,000
You order on the 1st floor, and the food gets brought up to the 2nd floor for you.

Apple carrot juice and coffee
The apple carrot juice was sweet and tangy without any chalky aftertaste, so even my kid drank it right up. The drip coffee and flat white, made with Deux beans, had great flavor and were really delicious. You could even buy the beans directly at the café.

Egg in Hell and French toast
Egg in Hell looked amazing from the start, with the egg nestled right into the tomato sauce. Dipping the sourdough into the sauce gave a spicy, deep flavor that paired perfectly with the bread. The sourdough we added was crisp outside, soft inside. Popping the yolk and mixing it into the sauce made it even smoother and nuttier.
The French toast was crisp outside and soft inside, and with the sweet syrup on top it was easily good enough to be dessert. Egg mixture soaked between the bread layers, so even one piece was seriously filling.

My kid really enjoyed eating it too.

Every dish felt made with care, making this a great Gwangalli brunch café to visit as a family.
