Gwangju Italian restaurant couple set B, pizza takeaway: Bueokgan

Had brunch with my husband at a great spot in Suwan district after a long while :) I meant to eat light(?) but the menu made my eyes go wide, so we tried one pasta / pizza / salad each and everything was delicious!! hahahaha Let me post about it❣️

Bueokgan, a Suwan district spot in Gwangju, is near Sumun 1 Park! (About a 10-minute walk / 1-minute drive from Suwan Police Substation) (About a 4-minute drive from Lotte Mart Gwangju Suwan)

There's no dedicated parking lot, but the road in front of the store is available for parking, just so you know :)

Bueokgan, a Suwan district brunch spot in Gwangju, has a clean interior with big windows that made it feel wonderfully open!

Most of the tables are for 2-4 people, but~

There's also group seating in the back 🙂 But it seemed like you need to reserve it in advance if you want to use it! We were just the two of us so we had a seat without reserving, but sadly, groups of 4 or more who arrived before us had to turn back ㅠ!!

I wondered if 3 dishes for two people was a bit much, but hey, one's a salad(??) hahahaha

Napa cabbage Caesar salad, ₩16,000

A Caesar salad with sun-dried tomatoes / bacon chips / onion flakes / cheese piled generously on top of grilled napa cabbage :)

I usually only eat napa cabbage with meat, so honestly I was half-skeptical when ordering it 🤣🤣 but this was appropriately salty, paired well with the bacon, and I kept going back for more :)

Shrimp anchovy oil pasta, ₩18,000

Fresh, plump shrimp harmonize with anchovies in this signature oil pasta unique to Bueokgan, a Suwan district spot :)

It had been a while since I had oil pasta, and it wasn't heavy at all — clean and delicious, I really enjoyed it 😊😊

The tablet showed a notice that the kitchen was busy ㅠ! At this point the food had come out but our pizza hadn't yet, so I was a bit worried..🙈 Luckily(?) we had ordered before the group of customers, so the pizza came out right as I started to worry!! hahahaha

Basil margherita pizza, ₩19,000

It comes with Tabasco hot sauce :)

Seeing that basil pesto base~ my mouth just started watering 😋😋

We took the leftover pizza home :)
