Solo brunch poke set with spicy tomato soup in Seolleung: Hola Poke
In short
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch is a poke restaurant on the second floor near Seolleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, with kiosk ordering and a separate solo-dining zone. For a late brunch after a heavy hotel buffet the night before, the writer ordered the solo poke & soup set at 13,500 won with the Super Protein poke upgrade of 3,500 won, paying 17,000 won for a bowl piled with salmon, chicken breast and avocado. The poke was generous and easy to eat alone, but the spicy tomato soup ran hot for a morning meal — the mushroom soup would have been the safer pick.

Today I'm sharing a solo dining review of Hola Poke Seolleung Branch, which I found while searching for poke restaurants near Seolleung!

Honestly, I'd had a huge hotel buffet with friends the day before, so I was craving something light for brunch — poke felt right, haha. I happened to already be out, and today felt like a day I wanted to eat a proper bowl outside instead of making one at home.

Hola Poke Seolleung Branch isn't on the 1st floor — it's on the 2nd. Just climb one flight of stairs and you'll find it right away!

Ordering was done via kiosk, so it was easy to order even alone. I've made poke at home several times but never a salmon poke, so I decided to pick a bowl with salmon in it 🐟
Inside Hola Poke: orange accents and a dedicated solo-dining zone
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch has an orange accent theme and an open kitchen, so you can see the cooking as it happens. The store isn't huge, but it has a separate solo-dining zone, so there were quite a few seats for eating alone.

As soon as I walked in, I got a really tidy, well-organized impression. The orange accent color was placed throughout, making the store feel fresh 🍊
The kitchen is open, so you can see the cooking happen — it gave me confidence that the store takes cleanliness seriously 👍🏻

The store isn't huge, but with a separate solo-dining zone, I felt there were quite a lot of seats available.

The solo seats even have phone stands! It's nice for playing a video while you eat alone, so I think this would be convenient for anyone looking for a solo dining spot in Seolleung 📱

How much is the solo poke & soup set at Hola Poke?
The solo poke & soup set at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch is ₩13,500, and choosing Super Protein poke adds ₩3,500. I chose the Super Protein poke with salmon and chicken breast, paired with spicy tomato soup.

- Poke: Super Protein poke (+₩3,500)
- Soup: Spicy tomato soup
Super Protein poke with salmon, chicken breast and sriracha mayo
The Super Protein poke comes generously loaded with chicken breast, salmon, and avocado all in one bowl. I had it with the recommended sriracha mayo sauce, which went perfectly with the poke.

The portion of poke is massive 😳 I came wanting to eat light, but just looking at it made me feel full already...!!

It comes generously loaded with chicken breast, salmon, and avocado. This was the biggest difference from the poke I make at home!! It's not easy to prep this many ingredients at once at home, right? 😂 Store-bought poke really does have a wider variety of ingredients, so it's fun to taste several flavors in one bowl.

I had it with the recommended sriracha mayo sauce, and it was a perfect combination with the poke. If you're unsure which sauce to pick, try the recommended one~!

Is the spicy tomato soup too spicy for brunch?
The spicy tomato soup at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch is, true to its name, spicy — a bit too much for eating in the morning. It reminded me of the familiar taste of hangover pasta.

Wait... I took one spoonful of soup and it tasted so familiar...! It was the taste of the hangover pasta I posted about not long ago, haha. It was nice to recognize the flavor, but eating something spicy first thing in the morning made me think maybe I should have picked the mushroom soup instead 🥹
Just before lunch: group orders in full swing
The time I visited Hola Poke Seolleung Branch was right before lunchtime, and the kitchen was busy preparing group orders.

If you work at a company near Seolleung Station and are trying to decide on lunch, ordering a group delivery from Hola Poke Seolleung Branch could be a good option 🥗
I didn't personally check whether group orders or timing are available, so please contact the store directly before ordering!
