Yongin jokbal restaurant group dinner set for 3: Cheongdam Jokbal

I'd been craving jokbal (boiled pork trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) for a while, so I went with friends to Cheongdam Jokbal near Sanghyeon Station, a place I've been to a few times — it's hard to find anywhere with meat this good. We ordered Set No. 4, bossam + jokbal. Here's my honest review of this jokbal and bossam spot that's great for company dinners or family meals near Sanghyeon Station.

Cheongdam Jokbal Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch is at 10 Gwanggyojungang-ro 296beon-gil, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, open daily from 11:30 to 23:30. Takeout is available, and parking is free for 2 hours.

It's just a minute's walk from Exit 2 of Sanghyeon Station, tucked into a restaurant strip between apartment complexes — easy to reach by subway, bus, or car.

I visited on a drizzly day. It's not a huge place — about 8 tables. Most jokbal-bossam restaurants tend to be large, so I liked the small, cozy vibe here.

Cheongdam Jokbal menu: which set size for three people?

Here's the menu at Cheongdam Jokbal, a jokbal-bossam spot near Sanghyeon Station in Gwanggyo. They have jokbal, bossam, spicy jokbal, garlic bossam, barbecue-seasoned grilled jokbal, and direct-fire salt-grilled jokbal. You can also combine two dishes into a set. Since there were three of us, we ordered Set No. 4, bossam + jokbal, medium size.

But we regretted it. It wasn't a small portion at all — it was just that good... I should have gone large. If there are three of you, go large, no question!!

The side dishes come on a pretty custom-fit tray: lettuce, perilla leaves, chili peppers, cucumber, carrot, napa cabbage kimchi, dried radish strips, garlic, salted shrimp, ssamjang (dipping paste), and spicy sauce.

The jokbal and bossam go in the middle. The table layout is really well designed.

Free makguksu with the set

Whoa!! We didn't order makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles), but it came free anyway. Great as a palate cleanser before the jokbal and bossam, or you can save it and eat it alongside the meat.

Warm bean sprout soup came out too.

Set No. 4: medium jokbal and bossam combo for 50,000 won

After about 10 minutes of waiting, the food arrived — glossy, shining jokbal and bossam. That much food for ₩50,000 at the medium size? More than enough, I think.

The presentation is insane. It's a crowd-pleasing dish with no picky eaters, so I'd recommend it for a company dinner near Sanghyeon Station!

The skin and collagen part of the jokbal is nice and thick. You can tell it's chewy just by looking at it.

The bossam meat has a great ratio of lean meat to fat, almost 50:50.

I couldn't resist!! Immediately piled jokbal, dried radish strips, and garlic onto a lettuce leaf — yum~ Same thing every time, but Cheongdam Jokbal is just really good. No gamey smell at all, boiled cleanly, with an almost refined taste.

Which do you prefer — jokbal or bossam? Personally, I'm a jokbal person!!

The kimchi and dried radish strips were excellent too — crisp, refreshing napa cabbage kimchi and chewy dried radish strips.

Salt-grilled jokbal barbecue on the house

I actually asked if we could switch from medium to large, but the food had already come out, so it wasn't possible. The owner must have felt bad about it, because he gave us a salt-grilled jokbal barbecue on the house. Touched by the owner's generosity....

First time trying this dish, and it had a totally different charm from the boiled jokbal. Even grilled, it was soft and moist, and the collagen part was even chewier. It's salt-grilled but wasn't salty at all — perfectly seasoned. If you're coming in a group and ordering several dishes, I highly recommend the salt-grilled jokbal barbecue.

My friends were completely satisfied too. A never-fails company dinner spot near Sanghyeon Station.

We cleared every plate and headed off to round two! Cheongdam Jokbal, the jokbal-bossam favorite near Sanghyeon Station, never disappoints.

Cheongdam Jokbal is a jokbal restaurant you can trust. It's already proven itself with chains all over the country, using domestic fresh pig's trotters and mostly domestic ingredients across the board. Compared to other jokbal-bossam places, the meat here has zero gamey smell and a clean, tender texture with an almost upscale taste, both in the jokbal and the bossam.

It's smaller than most other jokbal-bossam restaurants, but that just makes it feel more like a proper company dinner spot, and parking is convenient too — I'd recommend it for a company dinner near Sanghyeon Station. Make a reservation before you go haha. Another great meal today!
