Cheongna Lake Park pork belly ordered by table kiosk: Sammi-jip
In short
Sammi-jip is a pot-lid kimchi pork belly restaurant tucked inside the Cheongna 4-danji food alley in Seohae, Incheon, near Cheongna Lake Park. Ordered from the table kiosk, kimchi pork belly for two came to 34,000 won and kimchi thick-cut pork belly for one to 17,000 won, plus three bowls of rice, and everything arrived fully grilled while side dishes came from a self-serve bar. I went to Sammi-jip, a great restaurant near Cheongna Lake Park. The meat comes out already fully grilled, so it's a great place to visit when you want an easy, relaxed meal. Let me introduce it to you 😄

Where Sammi-jip is and where to park
Sammi-jip is located inside the Cheongna 4-danji food alley.

There's a parking lot behind the restaurant, so it's convenient to visit by car too.

It's also a good spot for a walk toward Cheongna Lake Park after eating.
Inside Sammi-jip: partitioned seats and baby chairs
Stepping inside, the whole place felt clean and neat.

The ceilings are high and there are full glass windows, which made the space feel bigger and more open — nothing felt cramped, and I liked that.

One side of the restaurant is divided by partitions, which looked good for family gatherings or a more private meal.

Baby chairs are also available, so it's fine to visit with kids too.
Sammi-jip menu and kiosk prices
We wanted to try two menu items, so we ordered kimchi pork belly and kimchi thick-cut pork belly.

What we ordered at Sammi-jip
- Kimchi pork belly (2 servings) ₩34,000
- Kimchi thick-cut pork belly (1 serving) ₩17,000
- Rice x3 ₩3,000
Ordering is easy — just use the kiosk on the table. And you can go grab extra side dishes yourself from the self-serve bar, which is nice.

If you visit during lunch hours, check out the lunch specials too. There are menus you can eat for around ₩10,000-something, which is a great value.
Pot-lid kimchi pork belly that arrives already grilled
The meat we ordered at Sammi-jip isn't pre-seared — it comes out fully grilled, ready to eat right away.

When eating pork belly, it can be hard to talk while grilling, or you worry about oil splattering on your clothes — but here everything comes out already grilled, which is the best part.

The pork belly comes golden-brown on a large pot lid, topped with kimchi, minari (Korean watercress), scallions, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and onions to eat alongside.

The staff does all the grilling, so all you have to do is enjoy eating.
Even without adding extra sides, minari, scallions, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and onions come as standard, which I liked. The tangy kimchi gets grilled golden in the pork belly's fat, adding a savory-yet-tangy flavor that kept my chopsticks going back for more.

A bite of pork with grilled kimchi on top — pure heaven!
Sipping the dongchimi (watery radish kimchi) broth served as a side dish in between bites cleanses your palate.

The lettuce wraps were fresh too, so wrapping the pork with scallions was great.

Once the bean sprouts get grilled, all that's left is pure savory flavor. You have to try it.

Kimchi pork belly vs. thick-cut kimchi pork belly
Grilling the kimchi, minari, scallions, and bean sprouts all together on the pot lid meant we could try lots of different combinations, which I liked. The kimchi pork belly was softer, while the thick-cut pork belly had a heartier, chewier bite.

The special sauce that stole the meal
The sauce served alongside was especially memorable.

Dipping the pork fully into the sauce brought out a big savory kick that paired even better with the pork belly.

It's tasty dipped in salt too, but dipping it in the sauce has its own different appeal.

Is Sammi-jip worth a visit?
What I liked about Sammi-jip is that since the meat comes out already grilled, you can sit and talk comfortably through the meal. For lunch, the specials in the ₩10,000s are great, and for dinner, you can really enjoy pork belly properly. If you're looking for a good restaurant near Cheongna Lake Park, give it a visit 😊
